A while ago, as I was looking for Robert Euvino's soundtrack from Stronghold, I couldn't help but notice there's only a gamerip one made by VladlenCry. Seeing as not everyone is a fan of those, I thought I'd upload a more "official" soundtrack. If I remember correctly, I got it via some fan-site out in the net. Anyway, should anyone be interested, here it is:

Looks like the same OST you get when you purchase the game from GOG.com.
Only Matt's Jig is different order (track 7 from GOG) and there's an additional track not available from GOG: "10 - Stix & Stones Medley"

Both are VBR.

And both have decoding errors when "verify integrity" with latest updates for Foobar2000.
"Warning: Reported length is inaccurate".
Often found in VBR MP3's (usually Xing encoded).

Aside from the additional track and one track out of order, identical to each other.
Bit-compare on tracks that match GOG.com:
"All tracks decoded fine, no differences found."

And I have found the exact site I got it from, should anyone be interested in grabbing it by himself - it's stronghold.info.pl, a Polish fan-site (there's the "Download" section up top, then Stronghold and soundtrack). It still is about the only site that pops out when you type in "Stronghold soundtrack" that actually works and lets you download the music (Stronghold Heaven, another fan-site, is a no go). But the soundtrack itself works okay despite that warning you've mentioned, right? See, I'm not really into all that Foobar2000 "tech" stuff, forgive me.

Yes. Just ancient pre-1990 software/hardware will have problems with playing VBR.
Likely this from a really old encode and not LAME MP3 encoder.
Really old software will usually create these warnings.

They're nothing to really worry about. All new-age software/hardware will have no problems with it. They're smart enough to know what's really going on.

Here's the version straight from Steam. Feels slightly more official, eventhough the quality seems equal, but the track order and naming differs.

From the excerpts I listened to, this album doesn't include A Pane in the Glass or Trancefuison, which is odd because it includes the battle chants & deadlock pieces from Crusader (some have copies with variations.)

I'm trying to tag the files and will then upload (hopefully) nice flac and mp3 versions.

Edit: The content of the disc is the same as the game music files from Stronghold (not Crusader), only in higher quality.

I forgot to mention that I didn't play the first Stronghold, hence thought the battle music more reminiscent to the desert theme in Crusader. I hope you could provide a labels sheet. Thanks!

Could I please ask you to reupload the CD in FLAC? Or someone else who has it? I downloaded both files, but I can't unpack neither of them - there seems to be an error in the archive... I've been looking for this CD for ages...

I played this game too & now is available in HD.
Epic of this genre mainly because of the soundtrack & even today with Hi-tech equipment they can't make better graphics then what they did long time ago. :)
