Murph 8:00 > is the ending of the Detach cue, at least it's a variation of it, except I love this version so much more. Holy shit, it's epic.

I think that Organ Variation is the 'S.T.A.Y.' theme

Tick-Tock has that ticking sound like in the 'Mountains' cue..okay Tick-Tock is officially fucking amazing.

Um, and Day One (Original Demo) is similar to the trailer music, 'First Step'.

Also, the deluxe edition 'What Happens Now?' cue is almost 20 seconds longer than the version on this Illuminated Star Projection Edition. I wonder why that is? It is only 2:05 instead of 2:26..

'Who's They?' is definitely the FYC cue that we already have, but of course, in better quality. :) Great cue.

No Need to Come Back sounds different, I don't think it's anything we've heard, has it? I mean, it's not a cue that I listen to often, so I can't say for certain.

It is different: This version doesn't feature the wind sound effects the Deluxe version has. This one's SFX free.

And I bloody love Tick Tock.

No Nee To Come Back sounds the same to me, it's nothing new.

What Happens Now? seems to be shorter because it's missing the ambient nature sounds at the end. Beautiful cue either way. I think this is the version used in the film, which cuts off right when Cooper opens his eyes, and the version on the deluxe edition is the one that concludes the end credits, fading away with those nature sounds. Or maybe the credits end early too, and the nature sounds are just part of the album experience. I like that, actually. It's nice to have both to eventually put together a complete edit.

Who's They? is the same as the FYC cue, yeah.

Murph is really beautiful, wow. Basically the "complete" version of I'm Going Home, building to a stunning climax like the end of Detach. Very interesting. I wonder why it's called Murph though. I never associated this theme with her character....

Organ Variation is just more of the "main" theme, from the messages scene.

Day One is basically the Day One from the original album but without an organ part.

Tick-Tock is a stunning extension of Mountains... wow.

And, I knew that that cue was different, I knew there was something different about it, but I really didn't know what was so different about it.

Mountains was my all time favorite cue from this score BEFORE it was cool. I liked it before I saw the film, and I saw the film very early, a day before it was officially released.

Tick-Tock will provide more for edits for the film version of No Time For Caution, am I right? Wishful thinking I guess. I'm sure we'll get a perfect version eventually. I have never seen such a controversy of a single piece of music in a long time. I guess that must be a very good sign..

Pretty sure he was given a warning about reposting people's work.
If he did it again, he'd get a temp. ban, if he doesn't already have one.

The last time he was posting, it caused everyone here to have a hissy fit.
The mods got really pissed about it.

So until he actually, literally does anything, there's no reason to go taunting beforehand to provoke anything that has not happened yet.

March

Late Feb or first week of March.
BD's usually are found earlier than shelf date.
Sometimes a whole month early or 2 months early (Country-dependent; Lone Ranger and Malificent were available from UK BD's long before USA had them out).

This is the cue that sold me on the score, long before any official album releases, deluxe editions, etc. I don't know what it is about this score but I love it a lot more than other Zimmer scores even though it's far more minimal than his previous efforts. Philip Glass' influences tickle me. When I hear this score I can only explain it as Hans Zimmer meets Philip Glass.

Rather unbelievable that my favorite song, Quantifiable Connection was ruined on the FYC and now will never see the light of day. It not being on this boggles my mind.

Still, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING. There are great things here, I'm just shocked that Quantifiable wasn't included.

I can do this... mine should be arriving later today :D

Late Feb or first week of March.
BD's usually are found earlier than shelf date.
Sometimes a whole month early or 2 months early (Country-dependent; Lone Ranger and Malificent were available from UK BD's long before USA had them out).

The "Tick-tock" and "Murph" suites on CD2 are so incredible, I vote the 2CD (http://www.myplaydirect.com/interstellar-soundtrack/interstellar-soundtrack-illuminated-star-projection-edition/details/33155828?current_country=US) as best listen/HD digital deluxe (http://www.hdtracks.com/new/interstellar-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-deluxe-version) as best representation (the last track on the FYC being trashed).

March 10th: Interstellar Blu-ray (http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Interstellar-Blu-ray/77552/)

I know.

But torrent sites have full bluray downloads ahead of shelf time.

Perhaps I speak too fast for this forum.

I, and a few others here, will have early access to the full bluray, or at least a remux (big word) before the shelf date.

A few here were already been posting end credits from full BD's or remuxes by the time I got around to finishing my download.
I've noticed quite a few releases ahead of their time, where I would have considered it.

So, when I said "BD's usually are found earlier", it's because they are.

In some cases, BD's get released in the UK ahead of other countries (like we had with Lone Ranger and Malificent)
But that won't be the case with Interstellar.
But, it may be the case with future, undetermined movies.

There will be BDrips ane BRrips and the sort.
I guarantee most of them will have lossy DTS core only.
From public trackers (aka public torrent sites).
It may be high quality, but most people on this forum will make the mistake of using the core audio.

This is really good to know! I've always wondered whether these early torrent links were fakes, but now I know they're for real.

Thanks for the confirmation, guys.

Real, but on public sites, just encodes for people with small internet (data usage plans or speeds).
If it's under 20GB, it's most likely an ecode.
There's ways you can tell before you download, and all the crap in the title is a giveaway (x264; "x264" is the open-source, freeware encoder for H264/AVC formats).
1080p doesn't always mean it's bluray. It's the same resolution, but can also be an encode which is using the 1920xXXXX resolution (most of the time 1920x800 with bars cropped or if the aspect ratio is 1.78:1, then it's 1920x1080 with bars cropped because there are no bars).
And most of the time, it's a smaller file if you use the lossy DTS core only.
And most people on public sites don't know or don't care what they get as long as they get it.
Which why DVDscreeners and HDcams are so popular.

But, with public trackers, always go with a name you can recognize (the uploader, the scene/group/release etc) so you know it's not fake.
If it's archived in .rar / .zip / .7z or other, it can be two things:
Either it's fake with viruses (single archive, one .rar).
Or if it's in multiple compressed files (hundreds of .rar's), then it's from a scene group (or whatever) that distributes on Usenet services, which sharing by compressed archives is more friendly with password protection. In principle, the distribution should be similar to torrenting, in parts and pieces rather than a singular, downloading file (like some really poor, free file-sharing hosts with no option to resume broken downloads).
"no-rars" is something to look for, that takes the original shared encode that was once archived but now just a single file with no extraction necessary.

But, then on public trackers, you're likely to support some groups/scenes that just take other people's work and claim it as their own.
If you look at TorrentFreak, there's some articles about Pirates on Pirates crimes going on. One group cracks a video game and has a crack available, while a second group comes along and reverse engineers the first crack and repack it and rename it all as their own original work. etc etc politics.

.wmv are also viruses, especially if it just got into theaters or is ABOUT to get in theaters.
No one uses WMV for movies except where it was a digital download that has been stripped of it's DRM (which doens't need to happen; as in why share a digital download from the redeemable coupons you get when you buy the movie when you download better encode; digital downloads are mainly DRM-stripped on user-side so they can share on their devices with friends and family, not for a whole community).
Everyone uses .MKV, .MP4, or .AVI.

.exe is a dead give away as well.

That should be good for now.
Back on topic, my mp3 player is going to be flooded with nothing but Interstellar.

That's nothing. I once got a notification accusing me of downloading either child pornography or illegal films. Since it was the latter, I had to electronically sign this page that basically said "yes, I've been illegaly downloading music and movies and I promise to never do it again". Slap on the wrist. ISP's will send out emails, but they're not really up to following through with lawsuits.
It's a decent alternative than getting served by the studio behind the film you are charged with pirating.

Canada just joined the frontlines of ISP emails about piracy, effective this year.

All the more reason to avoid public trackers (public torrent sites).
The default settings for you torrent client reveal everything about you and your downloading, but changing them will limit how fast you download something too.
Catch 22. Catch a thief.

They'll keep sending you emails.
Google your ISP and piracy warnings to see what's going on for your country/state/province/island/rock.

There's something about a "3 strike policy" that's supposed to be effective but studies are showing that it hasn't slowed down piracy one bit.

Then I'm confused why you had to point out the release date for the movie?
Seems like you misinterpreted my previous post?

I'm just saying it's official "legal" release is March 10th

That's nothing. I once got a notification accusing me of downloading either child pornography or illegal films. Since it was the latter, I had to electronically sign this page that basically said "yes, I've been illegaly downloading music and movies and I promise to never do it again". Slap on the wrist. I've since learned how to cover my tracks and continue to torrent. Plus my IP address is different since I moved

That sounds like a virus/spam

So disappointed this didn't win tonight.

I knew it was going to be something sappy that wins.
No one likes sci-fi, adventure, horror, or comedy.

It always has to be something light.
I think the only voters are really old people from really old generations and women.

What is everyone drinking tonight?
Champaign, coolers, and a bloody mary.

No one drinks beer at these things.
Zimmer never wins at these things.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that it's mostly just politics. Very little to do with who -should- win. Again, I could be wrong but that is my perception.

Martin Scorsese needs to do a film that parodies corruption in modern-day hollywood.
Produced by Oliver Stone.
Cameo appearance by Quintin Tarantinto.

What source did you use for this upload? Did you rip it from the CDs? Because, so far as I know, there's no official download version of this available yet.

However, I highly doubt this will stay as a CD exclusive for very long.

If there were plans for digital release, it would be out already. Or there would be news about it (usual music forums).

The only thing digital stores can do is rip the CD and provide 16/44.1, much like a lot of digital stores do.

It would be a pretty nice surprise if they provided 24/48 digital sales though.

Pessoa8
01-13-2015, 03:09 AM
I'd imagine the web release will pop up once the limited CDs have sold out. They're milking this release to the max.

If only they'd put as much effort into the recording and mastering...

tehƧP@ƦKlyANK -Ⅲ
01-13-2015, 03:17 AM
Would defeat the purpose of a "limited" release.
Why we don't see digital sales of LaLa-Land or Intrada releases.

This project seems like it was outsourced to MyPlay, who have the exclusive licences to the tracks they got.
WaterTower wouldn't really welch on their contract with MyPlay and sell the masters for the Light Project for HDtracks and Qobuz to sell the limited edition in digital formats.

Milking or not.

Tick-Tock

Murph...11 epic minutes.

I'll add in that I like "Imperfect Lock".

I don't know the OST's off by heart or in great detail.
I honestly don't know if Imperfect Lock is just renamed on the Deluxe OST.

I feel we really need a comprehensive tracklist with annotations for each track.
Like printed out and well-thought out.

So far, there's just a few quips here and there, but none of everything consolidated to a singular post.

Going off this: Hans-Zimmer.com - Interstellar (http://www.hans-zimmer.com/index.php?rub=disco&id=1256)
and my knowledge of the score... plus I have seen it 4 times (3 digital IMAX, 1 70mm IMAX)

Dreaming Of The Crash (3:35) - The opening scene
Chasing Drone (2:08) - When they are chasing the Drone
Flying Drone (1:52) - When they are flying the drone
Combines Went Haywire (1:54) - when the combines surround Coop's house... bc gravity ;)
Dust Storm (1:14) - When the dust storm hits
Decoding The Message (5:41) - When Coop decodes the message and him and Murph find NASA
Who's They? (7:18) - When Coop is told about NASA's plan
Stay (5:33) - When Coop leaves... this is the version from the FYC and the film version ;)
Docking (1:29) - When they first dock with Endurance
Entering Endurance (2:40) - When they enter Endurance... this cue reminds me so much of 2001: A Space Odyssey
Rage Against The Dying Of The Light (0:56) - When they are in space
Down For The Long Nap (0:56) - When they are in space
Message From Home (1:41) - When they are in space... Dom says how Murph is stubborn in this message
Through The Wormhole (1:31) - As they are approaching the wormhole
We're Here (0:43) - When they get through the wormhole and go over the data
Atmospheric Entry (2:45) - When they are landing on Miller's planet
They're Not Mountains (3:39) - EPIC CUE
Years Of Messages (5:26) - I cried during this scene.. all 4 times seeing the film
Afraid Of Time (2:33) - Murph and Prof Brand
Murph Comes Home (1:45) - When Murph eats dinner with Tom and his family
No Need To Come Back (4:34) - When Prof Brand dies
Our World (3:54) - When Mann explains his planet
We Are The Future (3:27) - When they find out plan A was all a lie
We're Running Out Of Time (1:57) - When Murph is driving back to the farm during the dust storm (with venom lol)
I'm Going Home (5:49) - When Coop and Mann are walking around Mann's planet (before shit hits the fan)
Coward (8:27) - shit hits the fan... was on the edge of my seat
Imperfect Contact (6:55) - When Mann tries to dock
No Time For Caution (4:06) - BEST EVERYTHING. To me, this is the best scene I have seen in a movie.. all 4 times on the edge of my seat... everything hung on this scene
Detach (6:42) - When Coop and TARS detach and fall into the blackhole
Eject (2:13) - When Coop is in the blackhole
Landing In Tesseract (4:42) - where the mindfuck begins... my buddy said to me after the movie: at this point I was thinking "wtf.. is this the same movie?"
S.T.A.Y. (6:22) - starting to figure it out... and if you notice this and Years of Messages are pretty similar ;)
Quantifiable Connection (3:31) - Traversing the tesseract... sending the message to the watch.. Murph's eureka!
What Happens Now? (2:05) - Exiting the tesseract
Where We're Going (7:36) - When Coop wakes up... goes to his house... sees Murph and the ending <3

Day One Suite (3:22) - Album edit of Who's They?
Murph Suite (11:21) - suite from Star Projection: decoding message, entering Endurance, Detach were probably derived from this
Tick-Tock Suite (8:19) - suite from Star Projection.. basically Mountains on steroids
Stay Suite (6:52) - album version
Day One Dark Suite (6:38) - the movietickets.com exclusive.. Coward and No Time for Caution were probably derived from this
Organ Variation Suite (4:52) - suite from Star Projection... very similar to Years of Messages.. this is the suite that the track was probably derived from
Day One (Original Demo) (3:49) - This sort of sounds like part of the IMAX end credits... but not exactly. I think this is the track that Zimmer wrote in one day for Nolan.
Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night (Poem) (1:39) - DUMBEST FUCKING TRACK EVER
Chasing Drone (Alternate) (2:07) - album version
Decoding The Message (Alternate) (5:42) - album version
No Time For Caution (Alternate) (4:06) - album version
First Step (Teaser Music) (1:48) - yeah... the teaser trailer music... the main theme basically

I kind of meant if one track is another on a different album.

Between the FYC, Deluxe and Illuminated.
Like what Cody did, but a detailed list of the sources for each track.

Not what happens in the movie.

Cody's arrangement seems to be mostly the FYC tracks when an upgade could be used?
I don't know the exact differences between the 3 albums to know where upgrades could be made.
I think the only upgraded material on his is from this Illuminated project. The rest is all 192kbps.

Curse you and thank you for this, Lockdown!

I'd hoped that I could be strong enough to wait for my own copy of this release, but seeing it here (and seeing all the ensuing comments of excitement) broke me down. Listening to it now is just having that "scratch an itch" effect. The score is amazing; and this is, most definitely, my preferred version of the score. On the other hand, it's only amplified my desire to have the set physically in-hand now. It's also highlighting the short-comings of my sound system, but that's another issue altogether.

It isn't your sound system, buddy. The album has a very limited dynamic range; a result of bad recording and mastering - I'm sure it sounds underwhelming on any system. Which is a real a shame.
