If anyone has neverwinter nights and loves FF7 as much as we do, come check out our new project.

We are working on making a module based on the world of FF7. It takes place before the events in FF7.

Check it out here:

O_o Wow!! Awesome!! I playede NWN, it's an excellent game. But that Buster Sword sure looks great. Say, will you be able to find and use materia or do you use the "spells per day" D&D method (or spells known if you cast spells like a sorcerer). And what about Limit breaks? come, on tell me, I'm so curious!!

we plan on using the materia system. SOme of the materia abilities may prove impossible, but we have hundreds of ideas for 'new materia' that WILL work with NWN.

As for limit breaks, It shouldn't be too hard to script something that tallys up the number of points of damage you take, and when it reaches a certain number, you will have a 'special attack'. I think Limit breaks won't be that hard to implement.

Say, will you be able to fight the Weapons, that would be really cool. And can you give me the stats for the buster sword(damage, critical threat range, critical multiplier).

We will probably include the weapons in some capacity. (our greatest need right now is for 3d model builders). Keep in mind, though, that this Module takes place about 16 years prior to the events in FF7. So weapons have not yet been summoned. Perhaps we could have a 'New' Weapon that was summoned and defeated back in the day. Like Sapphire Weapon, or Onyx Weapon, etc...

That would be cool. I'd like to kick the asses of those Weapons, just like I did in FFVII. Well, good luck with your project. I don't wanna ask anymore because I'll just spoil everything if I know all. ^_^

Are you talking about NPCs? (Non-Player-Characters)? We plan on the main characters getting to meet younger versions of the FF7 characters like Cid and Barret. The storyline will also involve the war with Wutai, so you will get to meet Yuffie's father. and maybe Elmyra's husband.

You have to include chocobos, even if you can't ride them. And are you going to release an online demo when its almost ready?

Everyone needs to sign up to the FF7 project forums. You could get to design what actually going to be in the Module! There are a lot of areas in those forums that you can't see because you are not a member. We need all the help we can get, even if it's only game design and story ideas. We ESPECIALLY need people who are good with 3d moddeling or know how to use 3dsmax or at least gmax.

and btw, moderators, I am not trying to steal people away from this site. Our project has absolutely no conflict of interest with FF Shrine. Our forum is entirely focused around a specific FF7 project.

I'll join, but I don't know how to use any of the programs you said, but I can certainly come up with ideas for the game.

I can't use any of those programs either, but I can certainly come up with good ideas. I play D&D, so I know alot about this kind of stuff - and about Final Fantasy VII. I hope I'll be of some use. ^_^
