Not the greatest Goldsmith concert. Lots of mistakes by orchestra in some of the pieces playing. its just great to hear Goldsmith. Best piece is the concert suite to Hoosiers

wonderful jobs on the covers. Goldsmith recorded many of these suites on several CD at the time including The Artist who did not want to paint without the mistakes made in live concert.
Some of his music obviously takes some practice to play well

Thank you for this, it sounds great and very much like the concert at the The Barbican Centre London, England on Tuesday March 10th 1987 which was one of the first concerts which was then re-recorded on CD. Sorry I don't have the concert of The Musical World of Jerry Goldsmith from 1989 good luck in sourcing a copy.

I have a partial recording of this, I still remember accidentally tuning into this when it was on and rushed to find a cassette to record it. Ended up with a bit of Alien, The Waltens, Under fire, The Generals and the ending of the Agony & the Ecstasy. Oh, and about 5 seconds of the next program. I still have the tape, I used to listen to it a lot, so not sure what condition it is in.
