Awesome, glad to see you're still as big of a fan as ever. Thanks!!This really interested me since it goes along with the E-Can set released 2 years ago. I think I want to go after that 2CD Rockman Battle & Chase down the road. Since it's one I don't own, and this release has it incomplete.

I will say that the social game, Xover. Was one big waste of time for me. I like the M#9, but it's just not the same.

Really? But speed is so slow..I was redownloading them at 2MB a second earlier today to test and saw what you meant. Maybe it's better at certain times in a day, maybe it's the location, and maybe depending on the different files the speeds can vary.

Would you prefer an additional host I upload them to?

But can you make a separate archives? Very pleeeeease?Done. Check the first post.

Thanks! I hope someone makes an FLAC rip soon enough.

I remember Heatman of TMMN saying that Capcom made a note about the Sound Box 2 which said "the soundtracks will use recordings from the original game substrates", which I assume means that they used the actual consoles and game carts for recording. This is good, however it furthers my suspicious that the Rockcan E-Can had used emulation in part or in whole, as they never said such a thing for that release. I hope I'm wrong, though (either way, they royally screwed up MM1 and MM2 on that release).

By the way, you wouldn't happen to have the "Capcom Special Selection: Rockman Dash 2 (http://vgmdb.net/album/15661)" CD, or know anybody who does, would you? I just want a lossless rip of track 15, "Jiji". It's probably my favorite MM related boss battle music. Been looking for it for years. :(

^ Sorry. I don't

I was actually thinking about getting the Xover one. But they way they advertised that with it's no stock at e-Capcom for preorders, and the way the game was going under. I decided to just order this release instead.

^ V2 Patch ~ Disc 9's corrections (https://mega.co.nz/#!s0pi1IDS!7U_7ikXPBB7aYthJX3vaJIdg7u6y796wDn3jUly l4Xs)

I apologize over this. It's my fault since I didn't double check the tracklisting with the first announced tracklisting. One of the tracks seems to be pruned in the final release which caused the screw up for me. That's the price you pay for not double checking these things.

For Windows users, put the .bat file in the Rockman Sound Box 2 directory and run it. It'll delete 13 old files that had errors, then add these newly corrected files in. All other tracks should be fine. I'll have to make a Mac version at some point. And the current links will be recorrected shorty.

Update: All previous links reuploaded in the first post with the 13 fixed files.

Can anyone who has listened to the entirety of this release tell me how the recording quality and accuracy is?

Oh, and to the OP, if you have the Rockman Arrange Version Special CD Vol 1/2, would you consider doing a FLAC rip of that? It is one of the last albums on my list that I don't have in lossless quality.

^ I'm sure FLAC will come in due time for other people getting it / wanting it.

IMHO: Everything seems fine / not really notably bad, except for Rockman Mega World. There are better Mega Drive game soundtracks on CD and they sound much better than Mega World's.

I own (http://shootingstar-rockman.blogspot.com/2009/10/music.html) both Special CDs. I've been harassed over dumping them in FLAC by a very sorry individual on this forum a while back. You will never see a FLAC rip from me thanks to him. The Rockcan E Can set / Rockman Sound Box 1 already covers those tracks as a reissue I thought?

I think they're supposed to sound like crap. They sound just like Iron Goat's rip of the game, which he made using the console hardware.

Holding petty grudges that punish everyone is very sorry too, if you ask me. But whatever floats your boat. :/ I did kind of want a lossless rip of the Skull Man arrangement off of Vol. 1. :( Oh well.

Yeah, but they're a little more compressed/harsh/loud compared to the original release, just like the rest of the E-Can/Sound Box 1 and Sound Box 2. But it's not TOO bad.

This happened for just a few days when I wasn't around. I was name called and harassed for not giving out a FLAC rip right in my VMs. But I suppose ripping things in FLAC are more important than anything. It's my discs/rips and my choice what I want to do with it irregardless.

Thats only cuz he doesn't know wtf he is talking about. FLAC is the best opener to release. You can than convert to MP3 or w/e format you want from there. He could have just simply downloaded it, and converted it afterward.

Nigoli

^ I actually do know "wtf" I'm talking about with my replies about things, instead of blindly going into someone's thread and making like they're stupid just because they don't support what you happen to want/like. I already understand how FLAC works. Maybe I don't want to give that data out for the money I spent on this CD set or any other CDs I own. All I need is some one ripping off and manipulating my things as nice as the format is. Especially with how new this release is among other reasons. I'm also sure Heat Man would agree with me with his own release in the other thread for this.

Why does this thread have to become a FLAC love fest and FLAC advertisement anyway? FLAC has nothing to do with this thread. I said I wasn't taking up a FLAC release at this time in the first post. It's not changing anytime soon.

If you want a FLAC release. Look elsewhere. I'm sure a FLAC release will come by someone else down the road.

Oh, I know who you are talking about. KGN-004 right? He was certainly passionate about MegaMan music (his MegaMan 1-6 rips are amazing, high quality and in Mono, so they are more accurate to the NES output then either the official releases, which are Stereo), but I've seen him take his passion too far (funny you should mention harrassment over those ablums, because he said in the lossless music thread about another user who had these ablums that we should put pressure on that individual to upload them in lossless.) Sucks he had to ruin it for everyone.

As for the Rockcan, yeah, it has those songs in there, but I would like collect all the albums just for completionists sake. Are those rips on your site MP3 VBR V0 or MP3 CBR 320? The ones I currently own are in VBR V1 and VBR V2 respectively.

EDIT: Oh and I saw on your blog you were interested in ripping the Capcom Special Selection: Rockman EXE album. Please do. There is no release on the web for that currently. Of course, I would love it in FLAC, but if you don't want to do that, I understand, unlike some people in this thread.

EDIT 2: Never mind. I saw your new thread for them and they are indeed VBR V0. Thanks!

Sucks he had to ruin it for everyone.Maybe I would do it some day. Maybe even for this release at some point if no FLAC release has happened by some time. I'm not sure. Those older releases really aren't too hard to find. I see Japanese auctions for them all the time. As for him, he's on my ignore list. He could have bought the two CDs if he wanted them so badly by now. If he was interested in this forum, he wouldn't have been inactive for such a long time. ~Good for him!

I've been ripped off before by people reposting either my Game Rips of things that were just in MP3 too on this forum when I already posted things non-Rockman related. I've also received more worse treatment outside of this forum for other things like not giving out my own personal e-Reader card dumps for GBA Rockman EXE dot code related cards. I just don't trust people usually and it's not like I really want to "hoard" things like this, especially when this release and those others weren't too hard to find. I understand people want them still. I''ll apologize if I couldn't / can't, and don't mean to sound too rude if I was being generally rude. I'm just totally uninterested, and someone making a big deal over nothing acting like a fool doesn't motivate me to want to FLAC anything.

Hey, I just want to say thanks for uploading the soundtrack and fixing the files that need fixing!I learned my lesson from this release, and I apologize for the problem. I really should have looked at the booklet more before extraction. I had fun creating that batch deletion file, I still haven't had a chance to make a Mac version.

I was honestly happy though that they didn't make the Mega World tracks stand out as "Rock Man 2", and just stuck with "Rockman 2:" instead. Besides B&C being incomplete, I wish they made the tracklisting in all for everything for consistency with older releases. I made my own GB and Mega World rips in 2010 that way to just go along with what was already released for the time. There's certain things I like about the GB stuff on this release. But I don't know. I think I can definitely prefer any Mega World rip compared to this one's.

Hey, I'm just wondering... for some songs in the Rockman & Forte Wonderswan soundtracck and the entire Rockman Battle and Fighters Neo Geo Pocket Colors, they sound echoish, like they're recorded from the speaker in a empty room. Is that the official soundtracks fault or is there an error?
