i've only played it once. i kept all the default names:p

i once named Rinoa krystle, then squall 'Gino', my crush back in high school who looks like him :P

I'm not creative enough to think of different names for them. So I just left the default names.

I called them Romeo and Juliet. No, actually they were always Squall and Rinoa. It's very rare for me to rename characters in any FF game because the default names are just fine.

Not to mention it's a bitch to talk to someone about the game without knowing the default name.

Square should realize that Final Fantasy is about watching a story, and slight immersion, not complete 'I AM THE CHARACTER!' immersion. That way they could actually say your name in Final Fantasy X.

That whole 'star player of the Zanarkand Abes!' almost fucked the game up, imo.

ARGH!! That was irritating as hell. How could I believe in this romantic relationship if Yuna doesn't even know this guy's name? The fact that we role play the character by making their decisions and some what determining who they are should be enough to "become the character". A name doesn't make the person.

I kept the default names. One of the next times I played it, I called Squall "Zell" for fun. I couldn't play for very long, due to confusion. The only other time I renamed characters was the first time I played FF6 (and I started over with the regular names eventually) and "Butz" on FF5. ;)

Usually keep the defaults but depending on the mood I have my name and my ex's name cos hawt.

ROTFL. That's hilarious. I guess maybe not all that low, assuming that Blaen and Raine are characters from another Japanese anime or something like that.

I called Squall, Squall and Ranoa, Rania (ra-nee-a) I meant for it to be...hmm..I still don't know how to spell the name I meant for her to be. Rania actually became my favorite name to use for main female chars in my fictions. I think I was in 5th grade when I played and my older brother read her name out loud, "Raa-nee-uhh" I liked how it sounded so thats how it always will be.........I talked too much....
