Some of my audio files aren't available at ALL in CD-format. Therefore I can only rely on crappy-ass MP3 formats from Youtube. And I have this app that ONLY reads FLAC format files. I KNOW that converting MP3 to FLAC will in itself explode since that's the stupidest thing ever done however I want to do that just so I can listen on my FLAC only player without having to switch apps every so often.

So if I were to convert MP3 to FLAC, how can I make the file of FLAC not too Uncompressed? Do I just set the setting to a Higher Compression so that it won't un-compress even further wasting my space on crap quality?

Thanks :D

My advice: Get a new app that can read more than just one format.

Otherwise, set the compression to it's highest setting which is 8.

FLAC can rip at the highest: level 8.
Level 9 or 10 for uncompliant software.

But, even with level 8, I don't know any software that's exclusive to FLAC-only.

Maybe you should learn foobar2000 and expand your horizon.

I hate all the other Lossless App players on the Appstore except for Tuneshell but they removed it.

But anyways, higher compression. Got it thanks :D
