I have Grandia at home.. I just sucks to it..

Never played then what are they all about?

it's like 2 different stories, in grandia 1, you play as justin, he wants to be an adventurer like his father, and one day he sets out

it's all about him and the rest of the ppl's getting over the *end of the word* (a big wall) and finding alent (and anceint civilisation)

in grandia 2 it's about a battle that took place (the battle of good and evil, god and devil) and god lost (hah!) and valmar (the devil) can posess ppl with is body parts (wings, heart, horn) it's about a girl being posessed by the wings of valar and the main guy taking her to a pope to get the curse lifted

they both rock!

I saw the game and I thought it was good but I still haven't got it yet

picked grandia II up on ebay for �9 (includin delivery) the other day, altho i also picked up FFX which i never got round to playing, so whichever arrives first shall get played to death :)

I had played a demo of the game yearrrrrrs ago before it came out, and it just stuck in my head, the game was beautiful, so i cant wait to play it....still have to beat ff9 and ff5 first though.

I have Grandia 1 and have played 2 they rule

I've never played Grandia but I've touched upon Grandia II. The only one I've beaten was Grandia Xtreme.

Grandia Xtreme was released in 2000. Basically it ALL battle with only a little story. It was fun none the less.

i don't really like games like that, i prefer story games ^_^

Grandia 2 for the Dreamcast is the best version personally, I just love the controls, or is it me??? the hardest monster for me was the eye of valmar the first time around, I had trouble with it's status attacks and the damn eyebats, they were very annoying... I finished it a couple years ago, great game, I haven't played the first Grandia yet, I'm picking up the Korean version on my way home from work though.

i prefer the PS2 ones, the only thing i hate about it is this;

they have no mouthes or noses! O.o

and the fact that when ever mareg is angry he kind of vibrates :laugh:

PS2 version had too many bugs and the graphics were shoddy compared to the Dreamcast version sadly, I still love my Dreamcast.

i complited G2 a couple of days ago....bit of a crappy ending...ryudo's final words are, 'Brother, Melfice...are you listening? do you hear me still?' then it comes up the end.....stupid.....

I have yet to get Grandia Xtreme, but I like games with more gamplay than story, so, I might get it.

i prefer story and rp than just plain fighting all the time, but Z.O.E is different

fightings my game, stories can get too tedius, fightings fun.

well yeh sometimes, not always, if a game has no story i find it tedious, so i guess we're oppo's on that one ^_^

I think Grandia II had the perfect balance of fighting and story, the story kept me interested enough to pay attention to it. I mostly fought though.

i got to lvl 89 for ryudo, lvl 82 for elena, lvl 87 for millenia, lvl 78 for tio, lvl 75 for roan and lvl 70 for mareg when i finished the game

i mostlt fought too, but the story was good! went on alittle at some parts though

My characters' level were in their 80s when I finished the game the first time, then I got them all to lvl 99 the second time.

I say "Grandia II" cause that's what it says on the case, it has the "2" in roman numerals...like so: "II"

99 huh? coolie, i still haven't beat the first one (because i never lvl'd up enough) so i'm starting again ^_^

it took me one hell off a long time to get them all up to level 99 too...23 hours!!!

G2 kicked ass, aside from the neon green grass. I didnt know there was a G3 =| I'll get it probably then. I never finished G2 cause i borrowed it. Got somewhere up to where you fought those devils that gave you shit loads of exp but could cane you with this one attack. I forget where. After you get roan back.

I have Grandia (on the Playstation, not the Sega Saturn version, Damn.) and Grandia II (on the Dreamcast. Yes, i am a Dreamcast fan.). Both of them are good games, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing them. I'd also recommend them to any RPG fan out there.
