In 1986, the Luis Cernuda Foundation of Seville, Spain, had the brilliant idea to invite Georges Delerue to conduct a Concert of Film Music composed by another Giant of the field, Maurice Jaubert. The reissue of this recording on CD allows music lovers and movie buffs to discover the best of two worlds, which are perfectly in tune.

Indeed the genius of Delerue owes much to that of his predecessor. The stylistic affinities are obvious in most of the selections on this recording. Jaubert's legacy can also be found in the work of many other French Composers , most notably Maurice Jarre.






This is a brilliant recording, a must have for Film Music Connoisseurs.
