UPDATE: all 24 tracks in film order and blended if needed for gapless playback (quite a lot of these tracks in the original version are gapless that's why I needed to edit). No Time for Caution slightly modified (volume in first 2 minutes) so that it fits with the other tracks.

Someone over on the FLAC standard edition thread posted the link to buy the FLAC digital deluxe version on Qobuz:
Interstellar: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Deluxe Version) | Hans Zimmer*? Download and listen to the album (http://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/interstellar-original-motion-picture-soundtrack-deluxe-version-hans-zimmer/0794043183058)

Also for those interested: I boosted the volume on the first 2:40 of No Time for Caution so it sounds at least volume wise much better and is more even with the remaining part of the track: https://mega.co.nz/#!5IYxjRrQ!Hc__PjGq-cam6Qmd0w76XdOmXgZlEGWROX9gPvU0-CU

The FYC will have the film version, I hope.

Depends if the FYC will be more than just this OST release (TDKR and Inception IIRC were just essentially the OSTs), but then again Paramount may handle this differently.

AFAIK this is the recording sessions version anyway (down to the lack of mastering too - doesn't fit with the rest of the album and breaks the flow the rest of the album has squished between Imperfect Lock and What Happens Now), so probably the FYC is more likely to have this rather than the film version with boosted organ and choir.

I'll repeat what I said at the top - if someone can PLEASE knock together a blended film order version like DakoftheOTA did with the iTunes and try and "master" No Time For Caution to fit, I'd be VERY grateful.

I just put everything in order. I didn't attempt to make it gapless. I just listen to it with a light corssfade setting on my mp3 player and it takes care of the problem for me. And yes, I have everything in FLAC except that I included Day One Dark and the fan-made rendition of the Docking Sequence track (but I still kept the mock-up version released by Zimmer).

That track is UNMASTERED - aka what you'd hear if the recording sessions leak one day. The volume that's done here is very out of place compared to the rest of the album, so I plaed around so it sounds more consistent with the rest of the album :)

Yeah, exactly same situation as Risen from Darkness (aka Batman Chased) from TDKR - film version is a mess and very different to what originally written and recorded - and what we have now is the original recording sessions version.

"No time for caution" needs about 35 seconds of the "Mountains" choir rising into the mix, starting at about 2m54s. Seems to be the difference from the YouTube clip/film version.

...and here is a recreation of the audio engineer's 'mess' (http://www.hans-zimmer.com/index.php?rub=disco&id=1256) --> "No time for caution (daypass mix)" (https://mega.co.nz/#!g8VyFBAA!SSQu4sBVzcCtHCgeIu9Z4W_RXogd2H7W3EzlYnW AXGQ)

The version as you hear in the final film has been all mixed together at the last minute during post production and is not ht eversion originally ritten and recorded by Zimmer which is presented on the album (minus the issues with mastering as this was so rushed to be released, fixed mostly in my film order version)

No time for cause is a total mess. Doesn't come close to the film version. I guess the audio engineers must have thought, hey, why don't we make it sound like The Last Samurai. Screw the organ, let's put in some synths.

Ahh yes, The Organ. What a breath of fresh air. I wonder if he was inspired by Arvo Prt (again), after using it on the intro in The Thin Red Line (the rising organ is from Prts Annum per Annum > same in Interstellar but slower build and few secs shorter).

Really like this score, Zimmer has finally re-invented himself and it's about time! This is the kind of score that grows on you and each time you hear something new/different. I like that in a score.

Ohh, is it just me or did I hear some similarities with the score for Prometheus (Streitenfeld/Goldsmith) ?

There were major complaints about the music and bass frequencies overwhelming the dialogue (especially in IMAX), and Nolan went on the record to defend it (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/behind-screen/christopher-nolan-breaks-silence-interstellar-749465):

"I like to hear it out where people are going to see it, not just in the cocoon of the dub stage. That is something I have done for years, because everything we are doing is intended to communicate something to the audience."

So, whatever was done with the music scoring session stems, and overdubbing this and that, in the post production mixing phase...all under Nolan's watch.

While this is still a controversy, requesting an isolated score track for the Blu-ray should settle everything.

I wonder if he was inspired by Arvo Prt (again)

No one seems to be mentioning Philip Glass' synth organ works, either.

We all know that won't happen.

I didn't see Interstellar in Imax, but overall I didn't have the feeling the music was 'overpowered' and making the dialogues fade away. I think Nolan really had some balls to go ahead with the final mix. But what's all that got to do with No Time for cause?

It's "No time for caution" and it was tweaked and overdubbed in the post production mixing stage. This is likely why Zimmer initially excluded it from the digital deluxe edition. Controversy ensued, since it was a highlight track of the film's score.

Apparently no stereo mixdown exists (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/interstellar-hans-zimmer-2014-%5Bflac%5D-182010/21.html#post2820861). I overdubbed the choir elements from "Mountains" onto "No time for caution" and it's fairly close (https://mega.co.nz/#!g8VyFBAA!SSQu4sBVzcCtHCgeIu9Z4W_RXogd2H7W3EzlYnW AXGQ).

No Time for Caution slightly modified (volume in first 2 minutes) so that it fits with the other tracks.
Just one annotation, lower sound between 0:00.000 - 2:35.500 in "No Time For Caution" is because has a crescendo in this moment, like multiple tracks from Man of Steel ("General Zod" for example), to make an increasing audio effect. This is not a mistake, is the purpose of the track, and adjusting volume this effect is deleted.

firstly i wasn't going to approach your movie version because i tend to make my own which usually i am happy with, but on this occasion i have deleted my version of this and replaced it with yours because i trimmed beginnings/ends with fade outs and fade ins to incorporate to bonus tracks, but this turned out to be highly distracting and ruined the already nice flow on the original. i was going to do something like yours myself at some point but right now i dont have the time. your version is perfect for me. thank you very much for the work you put into it this. i find it to be THE version for anyone who wants every track released without any silly cuts or fades and a great flow. thank you!!

on a final note. i wanted 'No Time for Caution' with the choir insert but without any added synths, strings or organs because then it wouldnt be an original piece. I took it upon myself to add the choir segment from 'mountains' to your gapless version of 'no time for caution' so the track would still blend from 'Imperfect Lock'. I'm happy with it and it works well.

Not to sound ungrateful, but is there a 320 version available of this soundtrack with "No Time for Caution"? :D

Or is there a way for me to turn FLAC quality to 320 kbps?

In any case, thanks for this timely release!

Interstellar's FYC is online (http://www.paramountguilds.com/interstellar/score/). "No time for caution" (FYC track 28) still not the film mix.

Sadly, it looks as if we'll have to wait for the Blu-Ray to come and use the source from there. We need METROTOKYO to do his magic on this movie when it comes out.

Even thought No time for Caution from the FYC is not the film version it is so much better than what was released. Its much better mixed than the track released by Zimmer.
