This is the complete Z+ App for iOS devices (iOS 7 or later required), you can listen in simulated surround 11.1 plugging any stereo headphone in your iOS device (ALL tracks are ready for playback)

1) Download "Interstellar Z+" from the App Store for free (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/z+-interstellar-hans-zimmers/id932426071?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D2)
2) Download the zip file and unzip it in a folder
3) Download and Install IfunBox on PC/MAC Download iFunBox (http://dl.i-funbox.com/)
4) Connect your iOS device to your PC/MAC with a USB Cable and open IfunBOX
5) Under "IfunBox Classic", select User Applications and double-click on "Interstellar"
6) Open the Interstellar Z+ Folder you unzipped to, select ALL, copy, then CTRL+V in Ifunbox to overwrite everything
7) Disconnect your Device and launch the app, All tracks are available
8) Plug in your headphone and listen in DTS Headphone X or stereo

I was peeved when it wasn't working for me when I got the email this morning, but that's cause it was only around 1AM and wasn't ready yet. Seeing as I haven't used my code yet (now that it's working), this is great to have as a back-up. Thanks a lot, MOTP.

Here's what I want to know - why isn't there a DTS CD/SACD or a 5.1 FLAC of this on HDTracks? It's pretty obvious that Zimmer made this for a surround setup.

Restore in app purchases works if you buy the tracks from inside the app. Not if you use a voucher....

You could try to copy the tracks folder to the right folder in your device but I don't have an Android Device, so I don't know if it would work, I don't think so...

I think only the app has the ability to decode those files. I tried every media player/decoder in windows with no luck...

IFunBox does nothing except sit there like a brick, nothing works.

At least the Mac version does anyway...

That demo with Zimmer's voice is really great but the music itself doesn't sound very different from the normal mp3 files, i'm not hearing much of the surround effect..

At least the tracks are several times higher quality than mp3. The max quality mp3 can reach is only 320kbps, while the dts tracks are at least 1500kbps. You sure you're settings are on one of the 'in-ear', 'on ear', or 'over ear'? I follow two rules for listening to music a) listen to at least 320kbps or higher b) use good speakers/earphones (bose).

That's what I thought but since the surround effect in the demo sounds great, I can hear Hans' voice all around me, but when I listen to the free track it sounds not very different from the normal stereo version

The tracks are encrypted and the app is basically a decrypter. There is no way to decrypt it and post as dts tracks? And why the m4a tracks have similar size of the dts ones?

Here's a trick - you don't have to overwrite EVERYTHING. Just overwrite everything in the Documents folder - that's where all the music is. Everything else is just iOS fluff - Documents is where apps store all their data (and what gets backed up to iCloud or iTunes).

Just make sure you quit the app first (double-click the home button, flick app up)

Anyone got to play these outside the app? I opened the .track files up, were useless, more like metadata for iOS. A dtshd plugin for foobar can allow playback of the .dtshd files(which I'm presuming are the gold here because the m4a files are pretty ordinary) but it gives me a 'Seek offset out of range' issue. Any ideas?

I haven't tried DTS-HD Master Audio Suite but apparently it can work with these files natively
