There has been recently released a District 9 Expanded Score on Vinyl, does anyone have the tracks in digital format? It's got several new tracks that haven't been released before, I've linked the info for it below

I bought this, but have no way to play or rip it. I'm getting a turntable for Christmas, hopefully. Which I am sure this will have been posted by then.

Based on the tracklist, I think it's in chronological order to the film. Not sure.

I will post it when my copy arrives. But seriously, people need to stop requesting vinyl rips. To me, that's like asking for money.

And before the thread police say that people can request whatever the hell they want - you're damned right they can. But requesting vinyl? This is a new level....

this is probably a stupid question but how does one rip vinyl? its not digital, or a CD that you can just rip from a computer or whatever.....

Speak of the devil, it arrived today along with Mondo's The Omen. Probably won't rip it today, or for a couple of days for that matter, I'm trying to catch up on SoA

Not a stupid question. My turntable has a USB that plugs into my Mac, that's how it's recorded. You use Audacity to record. And then there's the aux cable that I plug into my stereo so I can fully hear what's being recorded

I see what you mean when you say this, but people will still request whatever they want in hopes that they will not have to make a purchase themselves. Just because something is requested here on the Shrine, doesn't necessarily mean that someone that has that, will rip & share it. Do you know what I mean? I'm not trying to argue here, but simply stating that just because he's requested this does not mean that anyone has to go out of their way and post it. None of us have to share anything here, and I don't think a request for something is going to increase the chances of something getting shared (although it might bring some attention to folks who are interested in that themselves.) But we here, have a right to share and not share, and I don't think a request will change that.

Yes, I see what you mean. And that's why I said people have every right to request what they want. But it's almost redundant to request a vinyl rip, because so few people do it. Not including me, how many vinyl rips are ever posted on the shrine? I've seen a few here, a few there - and I'm not being modest, but I think I've posted the most vinyl rips here. The percentage of people in the world who

a.) are aware of this site
b.) buy vinyl and rip it
c.) are aware of the shrine and think to upload it here

is almost slim-to none. I am a rare bird :p

True, there is a vast majority including yourself and the other Vinyl collectors who share CD rips as well as post Digital Downloads. And I thank you all so much for sharing everything so willingly :)
