Dragon Age: Inquisition

Music by: Trevor Morris

2014 Electronic Arts Music

The music of Dragon Age Inquisition explores a modern take on the fantasy
genre, blending organic sounds and textures with orchestra and solo
instruments, traditional and eclectic. With world-class strings, brass, and
choir recorded at Nashville's Ocean Way Studio A inside a 100-year-old Gothic
revival church, and featuring a specific array of soloists on cello, electric
cello, and guitarviol among others, the score aims not to overshadow the story
but to become part of it through the human connection these musicians bring.
From epic cinematic battles to choral folk tunes to more ambient and layered
pieces, the music of DA:I is a reflection of its environment, inspired by the
color and grandeur of Thedas, and the Inquisition's themes, creatures,
characters, and world.

Thanks for this! So exciting. Still sad Inon Zur didn't compose for this one, but Morris is perfectly competent, I'm sure he did fine.

Thank you, enpy!

This soundtrack sure has a different tone compared to the other two games. However, Trevor did an excellent job on Pillars of the Earth so I'm not complaining.

It's always great to see non-video-games composer making music for VG! And let's face it, Inon Zur is not always so interesting... Actually, I xcan recall only the main theme from the first Dragon Age. On the other hand, I'm not such a pro in anything connected with VG-music, so...
Anyway, this is a great share, so thank you for it!

Inon Zur was good on prince of persia.
Trevor do a great job on nfs carbon.
Can't wait to hear this score from him.

I loved Inon's scores in-game, but on solo listening, I found them a bit boring sometimes, except for the main themes and female chorus tracks.

I am looking forward to listen to this new composer, hoping he kept the DA feeling but did his own thing too. Only heard him before in NFS Carbon, and just played the game for his music lol

I appreciate you providing these in the same quality you got them. However, the one limitation with WAV files is the inability to tag them so everyone who downloads these has to do their own individual conversion to FLAC or other format and then tagging. In the future it would be best to convert to FLAC and tag and then upload. I am currently uploading a FLAC conversion and will post the links once it is done.

FLAC Links, converted from original post

Download Part 2 (http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/1XT3H6TM/Dragon_Age_Inquisition_FLAC.part2.rar_links)
Please feel free to re-up on other hosts. I suggest using Anonfiles or Gamefront to download these.

So exciting! Trevor Morris did the score for 'Pillars Of The Earth', easily one of my favourite soundtracks of all time... and now he's doing a score for Dragon Age? Most inspiring thing ever! Thank you so much for the upload!

Unfortunately no full rip, yet, but folks have been looking into the audio files. Looks like the file system chunks the mp3s and they're kind of tricky to extract at the moment. They're working on it though, so it's only a matter of time.

Some of the tavern music is ripped here

I ripped Enchanter in English thus far (the tavern songs are separate from the game score)

How do you rip soundtracks? I got lots of chunk files that are filled with voices and quotes, not music files.

I had the chunks, then used a tool to painfully split the chunks up into mp3s, over on the Inquisition modding forums. That's how I've been getting tavern music (each tavern/bard song has three versions) and voice files. No luck on the music yet, they're located in a different part of the files. However. the DA Tool is getting closer to extraction of audio and previews - I was disappointed to find that the music isn't extractable at this point. You can't even listen to most.

It's coming, but not quite there yet.

Most if not all game tracks can be ripped now using the mod maker tool. DLCs can be ripped - Descent, most if not all. Trespasser about 30% (none of the dungeon tracks are extracting atm including the Solas music), and Hakkon ones are all available.

Here's (https://www.mediafire.com/?mfg79xtlblk4bbm) the biggest Trespasser tracks I could extract. Maybe it will tide someone over until they release the rest of the DLC music. If you need any assistance getting the mod tools to work to extract files, give me a PM and I might be able to step you through. The mod tool forms have a thread or two on it, though.
