I thought I'd make a new thread for maximum visibility, so here's The Last Goodbye by Billy Boyd from The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies!

MP3 Link (probably 128kbps, I just D/Led from YouTube source at 320 just in case): https://mega.co.nz/#!3ZVDgACY!RveQhirZR4-OOK1VKZBvXiiEzBTYMXrLXSlMf1k8CiE

Pass: farewell

ENJOY!

I love it. It sounds very similar to Annie Lennox's Into the West. Same vibe, too.

Maybe that's why her song was featured in the Trailer?

He's probably confusing it with Boyd's The Edge of Night

Now that makes more sense. It was used in trailer 1 - to amazing effect. I felt it worked way better in the trailer than Return of the King, and I couldn't be happier he performed the theme song. I'd be honored if I were him, and I'm sure he is

My opinion on these songs seem indicative of the quality of each film in this trilogy (for me), so I guess this one is going to rank in far behind the first. Still lightyears ahead the second.

This one is trying too far to match Into the West. It doesn't. Shame, because I was glad to see Billy singing, but they could have written something better for the guy. Thank you for sharing with us!

Agreed I didnt really like the Ed Sheeran song, it was good but not as good as previous ones.
