It wasnt long ago when crediar released some Wii U game files over at HCS (http://www.hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php?showthread=38505). One of those games, luckily enough, was The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.

The music for this game is the same as the original, but there is noticeable improvement in the sound quality. The Club Nintendo Sound Selection for this game had but 50 tracks, when there are so many more memorable themes in the game! So here I am, with the first Wind Waker HD gamerip (as far as I know).

Right now Im considering this version 1.0, since this is actually rather incomplete. All Ive done is taken all the music in the game that is streamed and converted it to FLAC. I havent been able to do anything with the sequenced files, since as far as I know there isnt a tool to play them back properly yet. I was able to dump the individual files through wwdumpsnd, but theyre in mono and Im not going to spend way too much time trying to arrange them into something listenable. So any music missing from this version is probably sequenced. If anyone knows how to properly play back the sequenced files, or heck, is even willing to make an in-line rip straight from his/her TV, let me know.

I also omitted some of the cutscene music; unfortunately, some cutscenes have the music mixed right in with the sound effects (despite their being four channels of audio to use...).

I used almost all the material from the rip crediar provided; some material is from the OST (theyre sequenced) such as the final battle with Ganon, the Great Sea, Dragon Roost Island, etc.

Thanks for the rip! What I've done is convert the btrsm files to wav and then run them through audacity for Pikmin 3, so maybe that would work for this (granted, it takes a while, but its worth it in the end). Good luck!

EDIT: And yes, cutscenes all have sfx... Sorry.

any chance of you posting the cutscene bgm as well? ( i know there are sfx mixed in, but i prefer that to missing tracks)

You might as well just mix and match the tracks from the original OST... I doubt there's any difference in cutscene music.

He said he omitted them from the release by which i assumed he already had them sorted out
I figured it wouldn't be too much trouble to just throw em onto mega
If i was wrong then thats for him to say. No reason for you to be a dick

Oh no no no, I always know how these things turn out after the first insult.

I'm just going to get out of this one before you join the Morbidcrab hate Circlejerk.

Wait for his reply, or get them from the archive yourself, which is why I linked it- (if they're included, I forget if they're inside a video or they're their own SFX mixed file)

If I had them "sorted out", then there would be no reason for me to omit them from the final soundtrack... I avoid doing BS like that.

Honestly though, most of the music in the remaster sounds exactly the same as it did in the original version, so it's not like we're missing out on anything by not having the HD versions of the tracks.

They're audio files - 4 channels too! - but all the SFX are mixed in to the point where they're unremovable. :(

So, I think your WW HD Version is the best here so far, well, can you make a reupload? :)

I don't have this exact version anymore; I combined it with a bunch of tracks from the original WW (that were sequenced in-game and only available via the original game's soundtrack). So, it's the WWHD music where possible, but some tracks are still from the original game. Is that all right?

Yeah, I think that's good so far? :)
Actually, I'm searching Tracks which are not included in the official HD Sound Selection CD
