"First off, let me just add another congratulations to Evan Backstabber - pardon me, Bastard.
Baxter, rather. It is good to see what someone with real talent can do when great opportunities
are given to them instead of me.
Tell me, why did you toss the "blue heart of the ocean" jewel over the railing of Titanic?
Did you feel bad at all letting Leo DiCaprio drown, while you were safe floating on the big door?
Could you have taken turns, or were you just too afraid to freeze your big fat ass off?"
"Bingo! Yahtzee! Is that your final answer? Our survey says... God! Bing bing bing bing bing!
Well, it was nice to meet you, God. Thank you for the Grand Canyon, and good luck with the Apocalypse. Oh, and by the way, you SUCK!"
"Bruce: Lord, feed the hungry, and bring peace to all of mankind. How's that?
God: Great... If you wanna be Miss America.
Bruce: What if I need you? What if I have questions?
God: That's your problem, Bruce. That's everybody's problem. You keep looking up."

THE MOVIE
Bruce Almighty stars Jim Carrey as Bruce Nolan, a “human interest” television reporter in Buffalo,
New York who is discontented with almost everything in life, despite his popularity and the love
of his girlfriend Grace (Jennifer Aniston).
At the end of the worst day in his life, Bruce angrily ridicules and rages against God – and God responds. He appears in human form (Morgan Freeman) and, endowing Bruce with all of His divine powers, challenges Bruce to take on the big job and see if he can do it any better.

THE SOUNDTRACK
This is the "Complete Bruce Almighty" soundtrack, consisting of various Pop tunes and Orchestial Score. The Pop Tunes "The Power" by Snap! and "The Rockafeller Skank" by FatboySlim, though bouncy and effective, seem out of place. "Chariots of Fire (clip)" by Vangellis and "Don't Know Much" by Linda Ronstadt (Feat. Aaron Neville) are used in the movie, but abbreviated.
Tony Bennett's "If I Ruled the World" (played in the 'Blue Palm') is included, even though Tony's
voice is alot older sounding in the movie.
On the positive side, there are gems such as "God Shaped Hole" by Plumb, "You're A God" by Vertical Horizon, "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up" by Barry White and Avril Lavigne's down and moody "I'm with You".
John Debney created the whimsical score, with songs such as 'A-B Positive' which brings forward the piano and string theme of Bruce growing to a more orchestral rousing version of it. 'Walking on Water' has a variation on that theme while some noble and magical choir makes
'Bruce Meets God' work all the same. '7th at Seven' brings Bruce's theme and Grace's theme together in a soft but sweet like nature and especially Grace's theme shows up lovely in 'Grace's Prayer' before a choral grand ending shows the best track of the score finishing powerful.
'Bruce's Prayer' shows too Grace's theme and altogether is lovely also.
But Debney also exhibits some extra good cues, such as for instance the Elmer Bernstein like piece 'Parting of the Soup', brass and choir make it almost The 10 Commandments revisited.
'Bruce's Theme' plays repeatedly throughout the movie, in different versions utilizing instruments in the lead, such as the flute, piano and horns.
Unforunately a few of the tracks suffer from over realism, whereas Birds, Crickets and Street Noise had been mixed in to the background, resulting in less than clean versions.
If anyone can come up with "Recording Sessions" for "Bruce", please let me know.
Due to possible conflicts with Varese Sarabande issuing a similar album (but no way as complete as this one), this version may be requested by PM only.
For "Bruce" fanatics looking for a satisying listening experience, hopefully this should fill in the blanks.
Enjoy!
