Damn... the first song so damn kicks you in the balls, if you are a guy... and kicks you in the... intimate thing, if you are a girl.
The first track is preventing me to hear the rest of the album. xD

Quite abit of dubstep on this score but my favourite has to be cue Final battle: Intro mecha departs, Atomic bomb count down begins, reed flute signals for imitiate charge, rhythmic dance from both sides, violins take centre stage during course of the battle, then calm before the storm, and second reply with minor mixes here and there before bomb wipes the map clean. Oh Taku you made me cream my pants yet again GG XD LOL

Oh Mahoka Koko no Rettosei DVD/Blue-ray Vol.7 Bonus will come with unreleased music judging from some of cues being numbered and some missing from both OST i hope they add them i pray its not a rearrange mini score

ok, seriously, I agree the first track is so terrific (Iwasaki's dubstep is a fucking beautiful thing) it made almost impossible to listen to the rest of the ost. When thinking this track is a continuation of track 19 from ost 1, just... wow.

One strange thing though is that track "intruder" from ost 1 and "attack" from here are the same, don't know what happened there.

At the end of the day I can say that one of the worst anime shows in past few years (sorry mahouka fans, just an opinion, I'm allowed to have one) got a very good soundtrack all thanks to Iwasaki.

I confess I did not heard the first soundtrack as much as I did this one. as you know now, I was not much of mood for it, fro the reasons you know.
But it's not the first time a track is repeated exactly the same in 2 osts. Generator Gawl soundtracks are frustrating for me. Because the 2 unreleased tracks, which by bad luck had to be my favorite ones, ... both soundtracks repeat 2 tracks which are exactly the same.... SAME. no difference effects of production. EQUAL!!! SAME!!!
I saw the anime many years ago. So yeah it frustrates me. There is another soundtrack by norimasa yamanaka in which he did the same. Maze Magaburst I think. Both soundtracks have repeated tracks. What's the point?

This soundtrack.... damn..... Track names is weird or Iawasaki did not care much for it. xD
At least it's better then the stupid trolling track names of Hiroyuki Sawano. At least these TRACKS will be recorded fine in my DVD data player. Since it's Global characters and I can the run the dvd whatever the place on earth and read the track names. Though.... I don't have much of Sawano... I download, hear, call it names, and then delete to keep diseases out of my world.
This soundtrack.. this soundtrack.... this this this...
Jesus Krist. I have not enough words to point how cool and awesome it is. Not just the electronic tracks. The whole package music here is great!

Gonna be honest I've always hated it when Iwaski goes pure dubstep. With all the music I've heard from skrillex and other dubstep heavy composers it really just doesn't do anything for me. There are some exceptions that manage to charm me though (example being the main fighting theme in Noragami).

Dubstep + Orchestra? Freaking love Iawasaki when he does it. battle4 was the track I've been waiting for the most. I love the hell out of that melody that starts at 0:36. If someone repeated that part for 10 hours I'd never stop listening :).

That said if someone told me this ost was outtakes from Gatchaman Crowds I'd believe them. The settings are kind of similar in a way I suppose.

Still don't care for some of the lyrics Taku insists on abruptly putting in some of these. Comical5 and Girl Talk.............ugh those are just so weird to listen too even IN the context of the show.

Metaphore2 is definitely inferior to the first version mostly because the vocals were not as noticeable and were distorted in a way that it blended with the music better. Without that weird guy talking about........how good that crack he smoked was the song is fine.
