Sadly, Radio One DJ John Peel passed away today.

Minutes silence starts now, and there is a break in my music until july 15th.

Although I never listened to any of his shows, I know that Peel was an eclectic man, who'd play anything and everything, no matter what anyone said. He touched a lot of listeners, and will sorely be missed.

R.I.P John Peel.

wtp is (-_-) supposed to mean? =/

anyways, I was really surprised that he had died. Where is everyone going to send their demo tapes now? He had that incanny knack for "discovering" bands... and... yeah. ;( It sucks.

Yeah it's sad. He was so influential to British music, launching the careers of bands who went onto be really famous.

Plus, he wasn't that old :(

Yet it was inevitable that at whatever age he died, he'd still be doing the thing that he loved.

John Peel played one of my brothers reconds on his show just before White Stripes. RIP.

John Peel is easily one of the greatest icons in British music, I listened to his show quite regularly, some of the stories some people had to tell we just amazing.

John Peel was a great man, he will be missed.

RIP John Peel
