The request sub-section is so pointless. But I've begun playing this game and haven't seen a thread for it yet.

A soundtrack is supposed to have been bundled with the limited edition. I'm not sure if it's a full soundtrack or just "featured music selections," but these are the associated pics I've found.

I have it (Amazon pre-order). It's only five tracks, though...hardly seems worth it. :(

Hopefully someone does a gamerip for this since it is the great Masafumi Takada who composed it and the music/atmosphere is SO GOOD.

What'd you think of it? I just completed it and I'm so confused about so many of the disparate story elements and characters. I was hoping for the game to neatly tie up all the loose ends, but I'm even more perplexed than ever. I know this isn't the place to discuss it, but like I said, there's no other thread around.

I get the idea; all the characters are hooked up to a machine that's feeding into Ruvik's brain. So basically nothing happens in the "real" world, but are actually manifestations of Ruvik's character (according to all the baddie model viewer bios). But I don't get what the purpose of the machine was, nor Kidman's role (she's trying to stop Ruvik? why did she choose those people to go into the machine? was she not hooked up herself?), and the purpose of all the characters. I assume that Ruvik's consciousness made it into Leslie's body at the very end, so what was the final boss battle about? Was I actually fighting Leslie (who was absorbed into the machine)? And then all the mental hospital/nurse scenes: What was that all about? Who was the nurse? What were all the newspaper headlines/missing posters for? Who was the crazy guy in the room next door? Is Sebastian crazy, or is he just experiencing pieces of Ruvik's memory? I should probably post this on a proper game forum...

One thing's for sure: I'll never be able to listen to Clair de Lune the same way again. Is that one of the tracks on the five-track disc? There was one particular piece at the beginning of the final chapter that I really enjoyed (a pulsing, energetic version of the theme). It seems like you're the only one who's got it, do you mind posting it?

Sadly, version for PC is just a pile of lazy effortless crap without any sign of optimization but with some truly overused game mechanics... And the plot is yet another copy of Outlast vs Psychonauts. In fact, those two games are much better than EW!
But I'm a bit interested in soundtrack though! So yes, I would be very gratefull if someone will post it.

That's a really disappointing tracklist. Was hoping it would be much bigger than that, like Takada's other OSTs like Vanquish (Three discs), Danganronpa OSTs (multiple discs) or Killer7 (2 discs)... :(

The iTunes soundtrack, short though it is, does kind of capture some of the better atmospheric tracks, IMO. That the ending theme song isn't included is really strange, but here's hoping for some generous soul in the future to find a way to get a full proper rip. :/ Besides, Takada's OST for Fatal Frame 4 was never even released to my knowledge -- but then again no Fatal Frame OST has ever come out, heh. So I'd take limited/selected tracks over nothing.

Thanks a lot to those who posted links!

So the soundtrack above is in mp3-format with 320kbps, but I wanted to find the iTunes release. Stumbled across only one source but I have trouble downloading it form that site. It does always get stuck at around 20%. If anyone else could down- and re-upload it somewhere or has another source I'd highly appreciate it.

Link to the iTunes release on baidu.com (http://pan.baidu.com/s/1o6FQyGa)

All right, so I'm not really sure what the hell you're talking about since the track listing is identical in every way. But I went ahead and downloaded it anyway and re-upped it to Mega. I also added the end credits song ("Long Way Down") from the Featured Selections disc for good measure, so it's the most complete release out there.

Time to start a new thread anyway... (Thread 181265)

Well, now I'm not sure what you are not sure about but still. I was talking about the fact that I prefer an iTunes release in the .m4a format rather than having it as as .mp3-files. And if your were wondering why I could not download it, idk, maybe it was because of my location or my browser(s). I have no idea why it did not work.

Nonetheless I appreciate that you downloaded it and share it here now.

Now I do not know if you guys usually credit sites that originally provided you the content, but the link I shared on here that you used to get the iTunes release comes from this site: https://itunesvn.com/33210-various-artists-the-evil-within-original-game-soundtrack-itunes-plus-aac-m4a.html

Guess as a chicken you should know about the borrowed plumes thing.

You have a really odd way of showing gratitude.

You asked for someone to re-upload it and I did. I started a new thread so other people could find it, too.

Thanks for directing me to the link, anyway.

I am grateful, sure. It would have been a pain in the ass to get it otherwise. I was just saying, you know. I did not know what you meant. Also you credited Mr. Spencer so I thought that that at least the site I got it from should get some credit. But yeah, I guess it does not really matter in a space were these types of downloads are provided.
