So, as many people here likely already know, PianoFiles, the largest sheet music trading site, is shutting down in December. I was just thinking that, since there's likely a fair amount of overlap between film/video game score interest and classical music interest, FFShrine could consider adding a printed score subforum for piano sheets and leaked orchestral scores. There are already a number of (mainly Zimmer and Silvestri) scores scattered throughout the film music sub, but it would be nice to have a place where these types of things would be openly available.

Openly available. But keep in mind open trading of stuff is not ok here. Would folks be willing to just put stuff up with nothing in return?

My collection isn't very large, but I could share what I have to help get the ball rolling.

That would be the idea, yes.

Why is pianofiles shutting down anyway?

Probably because they're sick of their site being used for the trading of recording session audio files.

Fair enough, I never understood why people traded audio there.

The way I understand it is that the original reason for the site was a marketplace for people to trade physical copies of sheet music. The intention was never for it to become what it is today, and when faced with legal action, the owner(s) just decided to shut it down instead.
