I've been working on a compilation of music from the 1987-1990 TV Series "Beauty and the Beast" recently and this score, which is very rare, was posted earlier as one continuous .FLAC file with some hiss/noise on it, unbalanced audio channels, out of sequence music and no individual track names (as the score was presented on the tape it came from). I decided to remaster the entire score, label each track with names, sort the tracks into scene order and compile it for anyone who would like to have it. The audio quality is much better now and the score is utterly gorgeous. I decided to post this so I don't have to use ALL of the score in my upcoming collection if I don't want to. ;)

1. Beauty And The Beast Main Titles (Lee Holdridge)
2. Opening Credits/Entering The Bookstore
3. Catherine Finds A Book
4. Kristopher Talks To Catherine
5. Lovers Reunited
6. Kristopher Interrupts
7. Warehouse Dream
8. Joe Tells Catherine
9. Vincent Hears Something
10. Vincent And Narcissa/Catherine Talks To Smythe
11. Catherine Investigates
12. Vincent Chases Kristopher
13. Finding The Paintings
14. The Painting/Finale
15. Beauty And The Beast End Titles (Lee Holdridge)
16. Caf Scene

16 Tracks, Total Time: 27:01, 320kbps MP3, 54.2 MB

Please note the entire score, including main and end titles has been remastered by me for a better listening experience. I decided to place the "Caf Scene" music at the end of the soundtrack as the piece sounds very out of place where it falls in the episode (the track is played very softly and incompletely on the actual episode.) If you would like to have the piece where it appears in the episode itself, it should be placed between tracks 6 and 7. I would also like to point out that the series had several variations of the End Titles Theme throughout the three seasons. The version presented here is the version used on the episode on original broadcast and also the DVD release.

And, per usual, custom artwork for this score has been created by me.

Enjoy this one everyone!!

Real tactless you asshole.

I honestly don't know what your problem is. I thanked you for your post, appreciated your effort and upload, watched as YOU attacked people for saying anything at ALL that you didn't like and you even went so far as to remove the link to your original share because you got your feelings hurt. So I went out of my way to restore the lovely and beautiful score that you posted (again, for which I was grateful and thankful for) and you have to go out of your way to be a complete and utter twat on a post that I created with a version that has been remastered and presented in the correct order in a completely different file format. I wish that you could learn some tact and respect for yourself but instead you feel the need to go out of your way to be as much of a jackass as you possibly can.

Whatever your problem is... I hope you get it sorted.

The original FLAC source was less than perfect but it was lossless making it possible to do the remastering (believe me there was a lot) and all. I personally chose to upload as MP3 so as not to distract from the previously posted FLAC version. This was my way of trying to be respectful.

I do hope that MP3 isn't a problem in the future as I don't tend to remaster and save files into FLAC. :)

Thankyou Impossibleego This Is Fantastic And A Wonderful Post. And Such Lovely Artwork!

You are most welcome! I'll be updating the "New" series score post I already posted awhile back with 27 new tracks to add to the previous "album". Keep an eye out!

(i've been doing a LOT of custom artwork for soundtracks that have no covers lately... I'll be sharing the link to the gallery soon. Maybe there's something in there you could use. :))

The post I did contained some of season 1 and music from episode 1 of season. I've numbered these new tracks (from episodes 2 & 3 of season 2) to fit into the original set before the End Titles. I'll explain it when I update the post on that one. ;)

I had already used season 2 episode 1 so I only needed to add in eps 2 & 3. Restoration and silence trimming on these as well. Upconvert from 128 to 320 like I generally do after I edit/adjust the tracks. lol

I certainly did not SEE in this thread any thank you for my original post and as far as my attitude is concerned; one grows weary of Amanda's need to to exhibit her frustration in not being a moderator by policing this forum with her unnecessary criticism, observation, and rule enforcement; all of which she lives for along with her medical alerts.

But you lifted something VERY special to me without acknowledgement... and my removal of the original link was my choice, my statement, and not subject of your speculation and judgement. Turning this around in a matter of days to enlarge your ego makes this your indulgent hubris. An act of great disrespect. Whatever your problem is... I hope you get it sorted out.

My thanks to you for the original FLAC file was in the comments of your post.

I did a LOT of work cleaning up and restoring this score and naming the tracks and placing them in scene order. I could have just been a horrible person and kept my remastered work for myself but I thought it would be nice to share with others. I'm sorry you have gotten your feelings hurt but, quite frankly, your behavior and comments really don't make it easy for me to care. Hence why you didn't get a "thanks" in THIS thread. I said it had previously been posted "as was" on the this forum and this was new, remastered version. As for "enlarg[ing] [my] ego mak[ing] this [my] indulgent hubris", all I can say is that you definitely do not know me AT ALL or what I am about. I enjoying sharing things with people. I like mixing and restoring music and then sharing my hard work with others for no reason other than I want others to be able to share in the joy of having something they didn't have a clean copy of before or even at all. I could be one of those fans who holds on to everything I own, force people into trading me other rarities or even worse CHARGE them for my work and such... but I don't. I certainly don't want to keep something from people that I know they'll appreciate. Any compliments I receive are lovely and all, but its not why I do any of it. I don't need the validation.

@Phideas1

Having read the other thread that you started and removed the links on, i don't see any reason for you reaction to what Amanda had said, she was clearly just pointing out what the download is for others that were curious before downloading. She even posted in response to your initial overreaction that there was no offense intended, which you overreacted to again. So i just think you need to re-read posts in future before replying.

Also, i don't see how impossibleego is showing any disrespect towards anyone. He thanked you for your original post and just said you overreacted to what Amanda had said, which i agree with. Remastering the music is also not a sign of disrespect, so i've no idea why you're reacting the way you are but i suggest not carrying it on any further.

Thanks.

Thanks for the music guys! Phideas1 for the rare archive and impossibleego for all the hard work upgrading the sound!
Well, what a gem! What a beautiful score this is! I remember watching the TV Series as a kid...320 is good, though it deserves an up-scaled sound quality IMHO. All the words and egos apart and for the love of God, go in piece and then give us the FLAC as well! :-)

I do not save ANYTHING in FLAC. Just a personal preference.
