ACTUALLY:

Korngold used a number of themes from his films for this work. The second movement contains the theme from JUAREZ, in the third movement themes from THE PRIVATE LIVES OF ELIZABETH & ESSEX, CAPTAIN BLOOD & ANTHONY ADVERSE and in the fourth movement themes from KINGS ROW.

I feel the best recording of this work comes from Andre Previn conducting the London Symphony.
