Can you make a coherent film mix and complete sequence of Intrada's GORKY PARK? I can't remember the film that well, I watched it in vhs mono yeeeeares ago.

I'll give it a listen! Land Before Time is my favorite score OF ALL TIME, so you better not have screwed it up.

Considering my track record, and my status as a Horner nut, there's no chance in hell.

Thank you so much! In my opinion, this is Horner's best score, but because of the poor mastering job, I don't listen to it as much as I'd like. On a completely separate note, would you consider doing a rip/complete version of House of Sand and Fog? Personally, I'm holding out on a blu-ray edition of the movie to finish the complete score I've been working on, but I have a lot more faith in your editing skills than I do in my own.

I tried ripping a cue from the score, a piano solo but even the ambient sound effects were there. I have it somewhere, but I didn't do the whole movie. Just the one cue. I'll pull it up if I can find it and see if it can be improved on.

Also very late to discovering your edited scores, JHFan, I remember reading some of your posts on SonicAdventure's edits, and am now going to see what links of yours are still active. Appreciate all the work though, and especially for this, my first time listening to your work. This has always been a soundtrack in need of some fine tuning, and I trust your name won't let me down. Cheers.

Very excited to give this a try. As many others have stated, it's one of Horner's best. I'm listening to Caspar as I type (another of my personal favorites) and I'm still hoping that one day we'll get a more complete version of both. I think the volume fixes along will make this a better listening experience, so thanks for taking the time to do it.

thanks again for this, probably one of the very first Horner scores I ever heard growing up, long before I became an actual film score collector, Horner was already weaving his magic in my memories.

I wanted to share a custom cover I just finished for this. I never really liked the album cover, with the full poster, and then the side bar of boring text. Especially since this is a custom version, I figured a new cover was well due. I basically kept the same poster art as per usual. Although it seems pretty much as expected, I actually spent almost two full nights working on this. The main poster image I found, though in high quality (for something from several decades ago), was very high in contrast, and especially the whites and sky were totally blown out, so I found an old, grainy VHS cover scan and superimposed it on the other one to restore some detail and give it a bit of a vintage look a bit closer to the album art style. Then the usual re-jiggering of the text. I hope no one is horribly offended that I removed the Diana Ross credit. Also, the font I used here is close to what's on the album, but not exact, if you know that actual font, let me know. Anyways, being super anal as per usual. Hope you enjoy this artwork!

Most score albums with a song don't have the song artist credited on the cover so it's really not missed. It's an excellent cover, and I'll have to retag my tracks with it. Thank you.

Yeah, I always hate when it'll be a score album with one pop song on it, yet they get their name on the cover as prominent as the actual composer. Besides, in this case, it just didn't fit within the space of the artwork. Glad you like it. I hope to be exploring several of your Horner edits, and will probably be putting up a couple of custom covers for ones that don't have then yet.

Beautiful post! I've always hated how the CD of this score was mastered. I don't mind having to turn up a quieter recording, but I do hate when I have to constantly fiddle with the volume levels.

Huge thank you JHFan improving the sound on one of my favorite Horner scores!!! It's very much appreciated. There are a number of great Horner scores that I really hope will get official deluxe editions someday (Land Before Time, Willow, Casper, Jumanji, Batteries Not Included). Thanks again and take care!!
