Hi there,

I think most of you dont know this release.
9 Tracks without FX good Soundquality...
Has nothing to do with the quality from The Project X Bootleg.
Have fun :)

Despite not being a die-hard James Horner fan, I've looked back on this score in fondness since my first viewing. It's far from Horner's best but it is a wonderful little lost gem. Glad to see it expanded from the suite. Thanks for the share!

Fantastic! Thanks! What would be really awesome is if somebody had a track list showing how this fit into the Wolfen soundtrack. It would be great to edit the two into the one.

Agreed, Teddy. I wanted to do it with the suite, but found the quality a little irritating.

It's funny how these things come back to you. I found the single tracks years ago and gave them those track titles, based on the film. It's the exact same content as the suite, only in brighter, very hissy sound quality, probably the source for the heavily filtered suite. The end titles can the replaced by a crystal clear stereo recording from the DVD by the way. Still waiting for a complete release on Intrada some day. They released WOLFEN and GORKY PARK, both produced by Orion Pictures, so let's keep our fingers crossed for THE HAND, too!

There's only one cue from "The Hand" in Wolfen, and it's attached to "Wall Street and The Wolves". I did an edit of the two, but the quality drop-off is a bit much.

That would be the track "Confrontation". But there's much more music from THE HAND in WOLFEN:
- the first 1:07 minutes of "Under the Blanket" were used in the scene with Wilson on the bridge, after Eddie detaches the safety cable.
- later sections from the same track were used in edited form for Whittington's death.
- "Premonition" is used during the autopsy scene at the beginning of WOLFEN. It's actually NOT used in THE HAND.
- "Nightmare" is used for Wilson's nightmare/vision of Eddie Holt in front of Rebecca's apartment, right before he switches on the windshield wipers.
- "Stella's Fate" is used between WOLFEN's "In the Church" and "Wolfen Run from Church" with an additional echoed bass string effect right out of THE HAND (not on the bootleg).
- I think some latter snippets from "The Call" may also have been used for the night church surveillance scenes before Whittington's death. Not sure about those though.

There's also more music from THE HAND in WOLFEN which we don't have on the bootleg. It was quite an extensive editing job. Wish the complete score from THE HAND will be released some day in good audio quality. Fingers crossed for Intrada to finish what they started with WOLFEN!

Wow. I haven't seen the movie in almost 3 years just before the Intrada CD came out, so I wasn't aware. I was really just aware of the "Wall Street" attack music.

I do know one thing is certain though:

Do not ever count on Intrada releasing "The Hand". In fact don't ever count on any label releasing it officially. Intrada mentioned at least once that both Warner Bros. and James Horner himself, do NOT want "The Hand" released as a soundtrack album.

If this is because I have no interest in internet bickering, that's unfortunate. My apologies if real life means more than what some Star Trek nerd nobody says...you see these freaks in real life? Fuck they are pathetic and then some...I take NOTHING they say seriously with their Aye Captain dilithium crystal up their ass Abrams-Trek is sacrilege Kirk is better than Picard bullshit. And I happen to like Star Trek. Go figure..

They stink, they hoard thousands of dollars worth of crap, and they probably couldn't get laid if they paid for it.

Not all of them are like that, but the meaner, fanatical ones who like to get in your face and anyone else's who doesn't fall in line with what they think and believe because they're too narrow-minded...yeah they're like that. Hell I shouldn't even talk because making fun of them is just too easy...

I'm sure a lot of people say stuff about me (seen a little of it, but not too much lately) being the blind Horner nut that I am, but I don't care. People want to call me names, they can fuck off just as easily. :) I like you, always have. It's this one issue - the issue of being able to not let this online stuff get into our heads and mess with us - that you and I have disagreements with. At least on my end of things.

Amanda
09-20-2014, 05:13 AM

It boggles the mind that some users still find a way to hurt Amanda when she is one of the most generous ones when it comes to rare material or tv related scores. C'mon guys, let's play nice. We don't want to lose this one. Well, I don't...

Except for 3 things, Bio.

1 I want nothing. NO sessions interest me at all. There are things I want, namely some 70's morning cartoon score, and Six Million Dollar Man score, but that does not exist. And, even if it did...

2 I never ever trade scores. I never have. If I can share, and want to share I will. Freely. Which leads to...

3 I do not want to share with about 99.99999999999999999999999999999% of members here ever again. The concept that I did not like to share, that I was greedy and actively keeping music from members? Thad angered me. The idea I was a leech who never posted anything original ever hurt me. None of this is true in any way. But not one member on this forum chose to say so. I get people who joined a month ago writing me to tell me what a leeching bitch I am. Stealing from...WilliamTaylor. Stealing from fucking Tapoktro. No one has said shit, not one member of the thousands I have helped. Until now. Now in a moment of tired typing I let slip a goodie and suddenly, here is even Bioscope to my defense. Only to hopefully convince me to share. Heartwarming. But I have finally learned my lesson, the lesson being beat into me every month. Being a good person, sharing freely...gets you nowhere. Gets you no support. Gets nothing. Hoarding, greedily looking for the best score is what is respected. But since I do not "collect" just to do so, have no interest in rare stuff just to have it, that path is pointless to me. As is continuing to play nice here.

JHFan
09-21-2014, 07:19 AM
I don't know who says you take anything from Tapoktro, but clearly that's meant as some kind of sarcasm considering all of his / her posts are lame mp3 copies with shitty links to make him or her money. Tapoktro is probably the worst kind of leech there is on here.

As for Star Trek Nutjob extraordinare WilliamTaylor1969....does he call himself that because he sucks his own dick and rims his own arrogant ass? That fool is a paranoid moron with deluded stories of the good old days who caters to Trek nerds who masturbate to his tales of horseshit...

Why are those fools taken seriously?

If you don't want to share, good on you, don't! That's your right and anyone who says different can pull a 69 on themselves as well as good old WT.

I've been accused of being vulgar from time to time...it's a justified criticism and I can keep going on and on...I'm just getting started on these assholes. They can all eat the yellow oatmeal-like shit that came out of my dog's ass last week when I gave him food that didn't agree with him.

Fuck them all, Amanda. Fuck them all up their useless asses.

i know exactly who to thank and who don't. amanda is certainly one of the members who shared and helped many of us without hesitation. i just say airwolf. she isn't
the only one who does so. members like keving, lockdown, sonicadventure, erich.gold, jhfan, filmscorefan, woovie, mr_merrick, lilu, petros and many more do the same.
none of them have to and yet people talk shit on them if they don't get what they want or as quickly as they want. what will happen if people
continue this bullshit? well, the same thing amanda is currently doing and petros has done. they will stop sharing their goodies with us.

there is an old saying: don't bite the hand that feeds you!

folks, think about it.

Here's a re-up in much better sound quality:

https://en.file-upload.net/download-12579322/JHTH.zip.html

I doubt a better version is available at the time. And forget about the suite. It's only the same music again in worse sound.
The track titles are made up, based on the film. Title and placement of "Premonition" are pure guesswork, because the track is not heard in the movie. Part of it features in WOLFEN though. Enjoy.
