The only track on this CD I'm not wild about is track 10,A Night on Bald Mountain. I think this orchestra did a knock out job recording that one on their CD release of "Chiller".

I actually prefer Stokowski's version of Bald Mountain over the original... Maybe because I grew up with Disney's Fantasia. Stokowski cuts a lot of the boring stuff from it, I feel at least.

When I was a wee kid, it was the majesty and mystique of Stokowski (with the help of Disney and Fantasia, of course) that opened my mind and ears to classical music. I still see him on the screen of my mind, that poised figure, magnificent on his dais in the uplights, and I still find him inspiring.
