I second this question. I was really looking forward to buying the soundtrack, since it's super awesome! But then I saw it was cancelled. I don't know the reason, but I hope they will still release a Tokyo Ghoul soundtrack. I usually buy anime soundtracks from CDJapan, but the soundtrack seems nowhere to be found there as well.

However, the first season of the anime has ended this week and I heard of a second season coming in january. So maybe they're waiting until after the second season to release a soundtrack?

Me neither, really enjoyed the first season even if it was a little bit rushed. Hope they'll get more episode next season, so there will be less rushing.

i hope they don't release the OST only at the End of the 2nd Season but rather at the beginning of the 2nd Season or maybe sooner.

Yeah I'm hoping they'll release it as soon as possible. I really liked the soundtrack and I'll definitely buy it when it releases.

October 31st eh? Awesome stuff. Was worried that Tokyo Ghoul would have been held up because of the whole Aldnoah.Zero OST leak or whatever happened in Japan. I saw OST's, OPs, and ED being held off and being hidden. I remember Aldnoah.Zero was supposed to be accompanied by another OST that never did show up with me now assuming it was either Tokyo Ghoul or Akame ga Kill's OST. Remember it being two summer anime OSTs.

Relief now in sight thanks to that news above.

Edit: Actually, both those links in this thread share the same first posted official date. Both would have to be released on the 31st because the first one says Sept 17. Tokyo Ghoul OST was supposed have been released along side of Aldnoah's, if a few days off. Something kept them from doing so. I'm now worried both won't be released seeing as how the first wasn't.
