~ SUMMARY ~
In an age of honor and chivalry, Gokudo is an adventurer without a shred of either. Obsessed with money, fame, wine, and women, Gokudo scrupulously avoids doing anything that's not in his direct self-interest. But after a chance meeting with a fortuneteller, he finds himself saddled with an identity and a destiny about which he knew little and cared even less. For reasons unknown to him and all others concerned, Gokudo sets off on a journey. At his side are a gender-confused genie who wishes to set him on the path of righteousness, a prince who is his complete opposite, a sassy tomboy princess, and many more companions who join him along the way. Cast adrift in a stormy sea of inexplicable events, Gokudo attempts to stay true to his self-serving principles while caught in a battle royal between humans, Shinto gods, Buddhas, wizards, and demons. All of Heaven and Hell are about to break loose, and Gokudo sure won't be the one to put them back together, not if he has anything to say about it! And why can't he meet any choice babes who aren't magical beings in disguise?
