I LOVE this score. One of Poledouris' best. I rate it right up there with Conan. It perfectly captures the all American feel for the game and the boys of summer who play it. Romantic and lush, it is a fully realized score and totally ignored along with what was not a bad film. It just came along at that point in Costner's career where everyone hated him for his early success. Had this film starred Brad Pitt it would have gotten seven Academy Award nominations including best score. Thanks for posting this.
