My personal favorite was 8 becuase it had the perfect music for it and how it revolved around a cool sword fight was pretty neat.

I also like ff8's. It showed the rivalry between Squall and seifer. And the graphics look cool. And Liberi Fatali was a good song to go with it

Moving to General Final Fantasy.

Oh, and Final Fantasy VIII's movie was downright breathtaking. I remember seeing it and thinking "That field looks so real..."

Every detail of it amazed me. Especially after FF7's relatively boring one :(

My second favourite would have to be Final Fantasy X - Sin ripping up Zanarkand was pretty damn cool :D

When i say Intro movie i mean up to the point where the FMV stops and you can control the character so the thing with X is the actual Intro movie to me ends before sin destroys zanarkand. but still it was a pretty cool scene.

I liked VIII's the best, because it was sort of a mystery. You dont find out the connection between Squall and Rinoa until later. I was so confused when it was saying "Ill be waiting." "Why?" "Because." It got me into the story, and the graphics alone are outstanding!

I was thinking about saying that, but honestly - the FMV that Square chucked onto their remakes was pretty sub-standard.

Quite disappointing, really, considering that they expected us to shell out full price for FF Origins.

Origins is the original FF1 and FF2 that were never released in the US, so they should deffinatly be different then the ones on the NES and SNES if thats what your talkin about.

Also, im goin with 8 just cuz the orchistra was awsome Nobuo did an awsome job on that one, and the duel, and im a big fan of 8.

FF3 has still not been released here, although it is rumoured to be on Nintendo's DS.

it did i thought the game was great and that it had a great storyline and the characters had great emotional depth. i think taht it was one of the best final fantasies created and most people i know who hate it never got past disc 1 and hate it becuase of the new things they added. How can you say that a game sux when you havent even seen the entire storyline. and everyone i know who has beaten it says that it was amazing. but then again these are just me and my friends opinions.

I thought 8's was cool, I really liked Tactics' because I like Chocobos. I thought FF7's intro was very appropriate, it set the mood for the game...hey Last Seed Fallen, the Final Fantasy for the NES in America is the original Final Fantasy, I have the Japanese Final Fantasy 3, and it is definitely different from the Final Fantasy released in the States in 1990.

I would have to say that I thought the FFX intro was the best (provided we're talking the Blitzball sequence otherwise I just chose the wrong one and would have gone for FFVIII) because I absolutely love Blitzball and to see it played in such good graphics was like a dream.

I totally think that 8 had the best intro, because it really gave a good summary to the storyline and the music/graphics were just superb. I luved the battle scenes and at the end how squall and rinoa never like touch, it leaves you in such suspense. i know that it made me! it was the first game id ever played! lol! so i mean seeing the intensity of the first scene actually made me nervous for the entire game lol. the ending was superb as well btw. totally made everything worth it!

( Wonders why FF8 has scored so highly.)

Pfft. All FF8's intro had was a short battle between Squall and Seifer. Not outstanding.

I chose FFX. Heck, compared to the rest, this intro outshone the others. Graphics, sound, tension.
It's a PS2 title yes, but it kicks ass anyway.
Auron looked super cool too :)

10s is just tidus walking up a hill and saying "listen to my story" becuase the intro movie ends the second you can take control and you can control tidus before the scene blitzball and sin destroying zanarkand.

FFVII. It was my first PS1 game, so at the time it blew me away on a technical level. When replaying the game obviously that side to it is gone, but whats going on can be better understood. Now knowing the shrill sounds being played over the footage of the stars are in fact the cries of the dying planet, and that the flower girl is the only one on the busy street who can hear them as she's the last of the Cetra.

eh...I loved FFX, but I didn't like the beginning...for the same reasons as basically stated....FFVII didn't really have an awesome beginning either for the same reasons as stated...Even though FFVIII was my fav. IX was my favorite, its animation was at the peak of playstation, and the intro was very cinematic, not just "animated", and there were a few intro clips in the first 15 minutes of play, it set the mood quite well.

FFVII, simply because of the sheer simplicity of it's execution. From the first glimpse of Aeris' face looming through the water vapour from a heating vent as the camera pans out to show the whole city of Midgar, before zooming in onto the train pulling into Sector 1 and literally throwing you and the party right into the action, the seamless transition from streaming FMV into actual gameplay is as smooth as silk..

FFXI's intro movie however, is also amazing, showing the fall of Tavnazia to the Shadowlord's Orcish forces. Sure, the English voice acting is badly done and poorly lip-synched (as usual), but it's the sheer magnitude of the battle that really grips you. Seeing those huge Behemoths rip through the city walls while lines of Tarutaru Black Mages valiantly try casting Meteor to halt the relentless onslaught is amazing. Plus, the music is absolutely brilliant.

Pity that actually viewing the movie disconnects you from PlayOnline (forcing you to login again), due to a time-out bug, but it's still amazing to watch.
