If a representative from squareenix were to walk up to you and ask you what you would like to see in a future FF game, what would you tell them?


I would tell them "a choice on who you want to play as. for ex: good or evil"

More black people, ummm cooler weapon designs(more badass looking), less gay looking Protagonists(Tidus, characters from FFXII look gay) and have a badder atitude. New names for spells(magic spells, instead of Fire(1/2/3) or Fira.) and make stuff tie in more with like gods. Like different 'gods' help you/are like summons. Instead of Bahamut, say one of the Greek gods or make up there own new 'gods' for the game that would help you. But if they help you and what type of 'gods' that would help you would be based on how you treat people. When you talk to NPC's, you get options and some are good and some are bad. Kinda make your guy a bit of an ass(like a badass) or a completer nice guy(wuss like).

That's all I can think of right now.

I'd kinda like to see some in depth stories dealing with the summons. So far, out of the FF's I've played, FFIX and FFX went the deepest into summon involvement. I'd like to see a sidequest or somethin where you can find summon orgins in FMV.

I was under the impression that the summons were mostly based on Norse mythology, i.e: Odin.

I herd the same thing but i got more details on it. Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is planning on being made. It's suppoed to take place 1 year after Advent Children and the star role played out By the one the only Vincent Valentine. Theres a small article about it in the November 2004 issue of Tips & Tricks.

well, few of the games actually centered around the gods. they were just there for battles prty much. I'm not counting FF8/FFX's stuff as them being an integral part of the storyline. :-(

VI didn't have a central main character, X-2 was a joke.

New aeons/gfs/summons, a lead character from a different race maybe, new creatures aside from the usual mogs, chocs, etc., unique locations like treno/burmecia in ff9, other kinds of transportation..

my ideal final fantasy would be a cross between final fantasy 7 and 10 because ffx has the best story and final fantasy 7 because it has materia and also a storyline which delves more in to summons and aeons and also lots and lots of blitzball players and teams

I hope they don't do anything like that. The worst thing the FF series could do is start using old systems and similar storylines to replace the lack of fresh ideas. I'd rather FF cease to be than turn out crap.

I would personaly like to see a Final Fantasy game have a longer story in the future. For instance, they could put it on 2 disks and make its story 100 hours.

I don't think FF would stop at 12, unless 12 fails. I would like to see FF be more war epic. Like partaking in military battles and I like to see more blood and stuff to make it more miltiarstic.

well heres my list.

Storyline=bran new, no bullshit story line with the theme being romeo/juliet to the extreme with a touch from the movie "underworld" There doesnt ahve to be all out vampires or warewolves but an understanding of the undeniable hate between the two races. Kinda like how elves and dwarves hate each other for the most part.

Battlesystem=A free range no load up system, almost crono trigger/legend of mana like but not entirely. No loading period with an easy to use attack system because the entire game would in real time running off of the ps2 internal clock (more on that later). The system would consist of most likely 3 active party members depending more on strategy than brute force/magic
the option to run would depend on the amount of stanima your character has, physical surroundings, monster lvl&stats and time of day in dealing if the monster could see in the dark or its to bright to hide

World view/cities=Everything revolves around time. Ive choosen this cuz this is how real life is. Do this at 6 pm but in the game your ALWAYS given the option unless its something like"The Lead Girl is dying go save her!" It will almost be like IX little subplots (cant remember what its called) where once your ready you can activate it. Almost like a GTA but no extreme mass murdering. Time will show ever different shade of each city, whether it be the ever friendly earlier birds to the reeking drunks in the alley. The usefullness of your party comes in here when it come to stealing from the sad drunks or convincing the fair ppl to not rip off your head for falling asleep in church. The NPC's would play an active part in almost every event

Characters=The main goal would be to have the most diverse cast of ppl without making one to powerful. Every character could learn everything but proficency is key whether or not you know meteor as a theif. Multiple races for sure and maybe custimization of costumes but thats a big "if." Your party would be up to you except the lead. Heres the big thing, your lead will adapt to your decisions. Heres were NPC's come in agian. The more you talk, the more you show your personallity to the NPC's and your personallity will gradually lean towards how nice, loving or how dark and shallow your replies are.
