I only read the first manga book of it so far and I think it's cute :angel:!

Hmm...Totally love Fruits Basket. I have the Box Set DVD and the Five volumes up to now that came out. I thought the anime was really good, although it doesn't cover all of the manga. The ending...let's say..its like...happy..sorta. The manga is more in depth than the anime and new characters are introduced. Overall, not to spoil it, I totally enjoyed watching FB. It was sad, funny, dark and at times, moments just got intensifying. Add to that, I cry during most of the watching and reading.

what is Fruits Basket? i've heard alot about it, but have no idea what it's about.....what is it about? the name doesn't seem to suggest anything to it's story

Fruits Basket is like a shoujo type of anime/manga. *spoilers* Its about how the main heroine, Tohru, lives with the Sohma family and their cursed secrets. You see, when they are hug by the opposite sex, they transformed to one of the Zodiac animals. If they're hug by one of their own cursed, then they don't transform. Its really like one situation after the next but usually with hilarious results or devasting results. =)

The name FB is actually a game that Tohru played when she was a child. Supposely, the children are suppose to called others by a fruit name but poor Tohru was single out as an onigiri (rice ball). So the title pretty much match the story since many of the Sohma family are single out, especially Kyo, the cat. They all have their own darkness that they need to face or strives to belong. =)

it sounds funnie and serious at the same time, my kind of anime! yup it sounds good! ^_^

i have a friend that has gotten the complete set in the UK ..... maybe u should ask around . or look for manga shops .

yeah, well depends where they are really, i'm in scotland, paisley and there are no such things in paisley or glasgow (well bot to my knowledge) i'll need to got out again sometime and look ^_^
