A good portion of the audio files in BattleBlock Theater are encrypted. I've managed to successfully decrypt the audio files and re-encode them as 320KB MP3s myself I went ahead and tagged most of the music with simple names I thought of myself, but I didn't go and tag all of the narrator quips, or the three encrypted sound effects.

I also couldn't track down the artists -- the in-game credits lists members of the Newgrounds Audio Portal, but none of them seemed to have the BattleBlock Theater tracks on their profiles, so I couldn't figure out who did what.

If somebody wants to take this and properly tag everything and release a "soundtrack edition" with a CD cover and everything, feel free. I just decrypted the audio files as a fun weekend challenge.

I had a gamerip that I made myself a while back. I didn't upload it becaue the developers didn't want anyone else to (since it could hurt the sales once they finally get it up). But since it's uploaded now, I'll put this here to help with properly tagging this.

mainmenu_1 - "Menu Music" by Analogik (No proper known title for this, but the artist is correct.)
gameplay_2 - "Panic Version" by Patric Catani
gameplay_3 - "Wicked Mummy" by Patric Catani
gameplay_4 - "Alien Hominid PDA Game" by Matt Harwood
gameplay_6 - "Watermelon" by Dan Paladin
gameplay_7 - "Ant Farm" by Kid Koala (This one I'm only partly sure about. It has the main melody, but there's a lot more to it.)
gameplay_8 - "Laidback Thrills" by Patric Catani
gameplay_10 - "Lance El Disco" by Lee LaDoceur
gameplay_11 - "Dream of Freedom" by Patric Catani
secret_song_01 - "Secret Song" (This is the title given to the song in the BattleBlock website's ringtones archive.)
hub_1_campaign - "Sally Port" by Lee LaDoceur
hub_2_campaign - "Tenorius" by Patric Catani
hall_campaign_02 - "Hall of Dudes" (This is the area's name. Might as well call it that.)
boss_music_01a - "Buckle ur Pants" (This is the title given to the song in the BattleBlock website's ringtones archive.)
gift_shop_01 - "Relationship Song" by Lee LaDoceur

I can't find any information about the rest of 'em.

Thanks. Did you decrypt the source files as well, or did you do something else?

I'll take the rip down if they still think it will hurt sales or when a soundtrack eventually goes up for sale, but I figured after a year and a half they probably didn't care about it anymore.

Here's the post I was referring to (http://forums.thebehemoth.com/index.php?/topic/14666-soundtrack-i-can-purchase/?p=283216). Keep it up for now though, nothing's stopped re-uploads of anything else around here. Except for Turrican.

But yeah, I decrypted mine from memory dumps of the PC version. Just located the XWMAs in there, snipped 'em, and converted 'em. I don't have the smarts to find out decryption algorithms or keys, so I just work with what I've got.

And 6 years later, we are still waiting for the OST release :dondraper:

A reupload would be appreciated, regardless.

While not the same as the rip from the first post, here's my own rip I did a while back. Although I did swap out the Stamper tracks with higher-quality stereo versions from his YouTube uploads (minus "Fade Into the Dark" from here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuIbdMZ_tfY), whoops), the rest are all game rips and not from the respective artist's Bandcamps or whatever (which would've sounded better due to the game's lossy, mono compression). But for now this should suffice.

wow didn't saw that, thanks man!

unfortunately it's low qual :'( I really hope the OST's composers will release a true lossless album (a few tracks are already available on spotify)
