Links received. Thanks a lot. Got a chance to read up on the backstory of this score. Basically Poledouris' score was rejected officially yet they kept a lot of it for slower, Americana scenes, while Zimmer was used more for action queues. Very interesting... but weird. Poledouris' score was surely good enough, hence the reason it kept most of it anyways. The way Hollywood works is like a daycare!

Thank you DICEY69. This is such a fantastic Intrada release (I'm sorry I missed it). I love that we have an opportunity to compare two versions of a film's score (which I understand were combined in the end). I much prefer Poledouris' more classical interpretation, but the Zimmer version has some great moments and is an interesting snapshot of his early work.
