Well? Does anyone like it?

yea i loved the hp materia didnt like the mp materia tho i had 3 mastered hp materia equiped to cloud and 2 on the rest of my party i could live with out it!

I meant the HP<>MP materia. It switches your HP and MP. It's one of the secret materia.

Normally 999 MP is good enough for me so I found no real use for HP<>MP Materia. However, if I was allowed to use it on the fly (as in activate it as a command during battle), it would be quite useful.

Has anyone found a practical use for that materia?? Maybe if there were some kind of MP shield (like mana shield in Diablo II) it would have been useful, I have yet to come up with anything except getting limits faster, but usually by that point in the game you dont need anymore limit breaks and things do more than 999 damage to you if they hit you. Dont some of the ultimate weapons do damage based on MP?

Pointless. Yet I have it because I like to have everything in the game.

I didn't find it very useful. What's the point in excessive MP when you're so easy to kill? =/

UPDATE:

It CAN help get 7777s. At level 99, Cloud has 877 MP. Just equip and then unequip HP<>MP materia, and he'll be at 877 HP. Feed him HI-Potions and potions to get his HP to 7777.

lol, well, its alright, if you have the final attack-phen on the char that has the hp<>mp on it, but other then that, fighting anything over normal enemeies/easy bosses (first boss-proud clod) yould be suicied

I never used it. I thought It was useless. I attack more then I use magic, so I have enough MP as it is.

I find it useless, Flash or 4x cut is all I need during fights. What's the point of 999 HP if you barely use MP and 999 is sufficient?

Honestly, I never saw the point in this materia. As already mentioned, what's the point of having tons of MP when your HP is so low you can die very easily? But if you had Final Attack - Pheonix, you can go crazy with that summon. Although, it's much easier to use other materia instead, such as Slash-All, 4x-Cut, KotR, etc.

I didnt like the materia but i used it against Ruby weapon and I beat him easy

An interesting note: If you combine Sneak Attack with KotR, and use HP<>MP, you can get in a KotR summon at the start of every battle (which will almost always end it) w/o having to rest and use Ethers, etc.

Its a great materia because you can pair final attack with the Pheonix summon, then use HP<>MP materia, then every time you die you will be revived and damage the enemy, and will not have 2 worry about refilling your MP.

This would only be any use if you could equip it and then raise your max HP to 9999, while still keeping ur max MP at 9999 as well, but since the game wont allow you to do it, its crap. ANd everyone knows it. You never really use 999 in one battle (or you shouldn't have to anyway) and if you do, its easier just to use an Ether/Turbo Ether/Elixir/Megalixir instead of sacrifyin 9000 HP!!!
