Apart of the agitated 'Main Title' cue that opens the album the score is mostly quiet and melodic. It is here that stands out the beautiful love theme, which Harline develops as the major theme. This theme gets subtle variations along the score like in the charming 'Breakfast and Bath', or romantic by its stylized violins on 'Goodnight', among others.
The film is set in Japan so you can hear brief ethnic orchestrations on 'Arrival in Japan' and in later half of 'Telephone Warning' track, but overall the score is carried by western music idioms.
