Shovel Knight OST - ruiner9's Stereo NES Mix! (FLAC + VBR0 MP3)

Jake Kaufman's amazing Shovel Knight soundtrack has been getting huge amounts of press lately, both because of the quality of the music, and the fact that it was all composed using the NES soundchip plus Konami's VRC6 chip. As I've done over in my thread with NES soundtracks (see link my sig,) I've converted the soundtrack to a stereo mix, and it sounds great!

The MP3 album is LAME VBR0 with my special blend of enhancements (dont worry, no reverb or anything like that!), and the FLAC version is optimized for smallest file size while retaining lossless sound, because it's pretty massive.

Thanks to Kaufman for offering this soundtrack for free so I could make this mix!

Mostly just some EQ tweaks, level boosts, etc, to make sure all the instruments sound nice without any of them being too overpowering.

Yeah I think the source NSF is messed up. It plays the same on both tracks.

OK! Found the error in the file and changed the track 11's addressing... now it plays! I've uploaded the new tracks (FLAC and MP3) in the OP... sorry about that, folks!

Thanks for this - just finished the game and was blown away by the sound track. The mix as it shows you what's happening in each level at the end is so good.

Kaufman hasn't released an NSF file for it yet. If he does, I plan on doing one.

The version in the OP only contains the original soundtrack, as it was made just after the game came out. So far, no NSF files have been released for any additional content. Without those, I can't make a stereo version. We'll have to wait and see.
