That's most likely the case. Gundam has been using the same formula too. The series is supposed to continue for a good amount of time from what I've heard. If they do another break I'd assume a composer change is probable.

Yes, the anime is an adaptation of the manga which spans 8 arcs, with 8 arc currently being in progress.
First season of the anime adapted Arc 1 Phantom Blood and Arc 2 Battle Tendency. Current second season of the anime is adapting Arc 3 Stardust Crusaders.
The composer change is deliberate, one per each part. But even if they wanted to still have Taku, he would refuse as the stripped the vocals from his songs in their anime placement (in my opinion for the best, as the vocals are absolutely shit).

Also, thanks for this upload LeatherHead333, I completely forgot this was coming out July 30. I could've sworn it was August 30 and September 30 for the second OST.
I hope you'll be able to supply us the second OST once it comes out in two weeks before you disappear from here and stop uploading ^^
