This 3-disc set contains the complete theatrical film score and songs from Walt Disney�s �The Little Mermaid.� Also included are instrumentals, source music, alternate cue mixes, the original 1989 album and other bonus material. All the music in this set is free of sound effects. Disc 1 features the score and songs as presented in the theatrical version of the film. Disc 2 features song instrumentals, alternate mixes of various tracks, source music and other bonus tracks. Disc 3 features the original 1989 album, which differs from the tracks as heard on disc 1.

Which missing cue? There are actually many cues missing cues from Snow White. If Disney continues the Legacy Collection after 2015, I'm sure we'll see a complete score of the Snow White in 2017.

I just got through listening to this set and wow, it sounds amazing! It's better than your previous Mermiad edit. also, everything on the second disc is wonderful. The instrumentals sound great and the alternate stuff is a real nice treat. Thanks for this wonderful set! I may not need to get the Legacy Collection afterall. :)

I was going to do Pocahontas next, but since it will be released in 2015 as part of the Legacy Collection, I am going to hold off and simply embellish that release, if it needs it. I will probably do Aladdin next instead.

This is amazing! Where did you find the Alternate Mixes, by the way?
The alternate mixes are actually part of the Blu-ray's 7.1 audio mix in either the front or rear channels. I could have provided alternate mixes for all the tracks, but I decided to go with what tracks I thought were the most interesting like "Main Titles" and "Tour of the Kingdom."

I am going to release it in FLAC as soon as I have updated the set with the material from the Legacy Collection. I just received my copy today and I hope to have it all done by the end of the year. I may also include a few more additional tracks on Disc 2.

They added the score section just before 'Part of Your World', but didn't cross the two versions over, you here the score cue, it then fades into the soundtrack version with the voice before it! Also they added vocals to the Vanessa on the Beach section, but it sounds like the got someone to re-record it, as its totally off, but then decided to not include the vocals when Ariel gets her voice back during the wedding! And whatever possessed them to do what they did with end Chorus is beyond me! Such odd choices Disney!

The updated set will contain the music and songs as they are heard in the film. On the LC, they added/removed some instruments and changed some things around here and there. Also, they didn't include the short "Revealing the Grotto" cue for some reason. It's become quite a project that I didn't initially anticipate. I am almost done with the first disc, but I probably won't have the whole set ready before the year is out. I will upload the set in FLAC and MP3 when I get it all done.

I think the vocal in Vanessa on the Beach is a different take because I believe that's still Jodi Benson's voice but its definitely not a version heard in the film. Vanessa's Song is slightly different than the film version, too. i think the error in Happy Ending was just a mistake that got overlooked before the CD was pressed. I'm surprised they didn't catch the error.

I'm very sorry it's taken me so long to update this set, but I've finally completed it. The updated link is in the first post. I have updated the set with material from the LC release, which contains the music and songs as they are heard in the film, including the film version of "Vanessa's Song" with Ursula's laugh. I also made some improvements to a few of the song instrumentals. I will upload the FLAC version within the next couple of days. My next project is "Pocahontas" and to create a FLAC version of "Beauty and the Beast."

Yes, that is on my list, but not all the songs. Just "Be Our Guest," "Something There," and "Beauty and the Beast" so far.

I love the higher sound quality on Disc 1, but I was wondering if the songs with singing vocals could be re-edited with all spoken vocals INCLUDED in the songs, like the Album Version? There's at least one song, maybe more, that is longer in length than the original Album Version (e.g. "Part of Your World"), and I would LOVE to have the full version of the same quality on Disc 1, instead of having to mix in the lower-quality songs and not being able to fully enjoy the flawless sound quality that is featured on Disc 1. Is it possible for you to do this? I would be SO grateful if you would be willing to re-edit them!
