One day, King Step�n, lost in woods during a storm, finds shelter in an abandoned fort. There he meets Anička and her half sister Katka. Both live here with Katka's mother, an evil sorceress. From the moment Step�n sees Anička, he falls in love with her and wants her to become his bride - much to the disgust of Katka's mother. He gives Anička a shrub of hazelnuts, which he found on the way here, they shall guide her to his castle. In the night, the evil sorceress curses Anička to look like a sheep. Only when the King recognizes her and is willing to marry her in her current form, she will be free. Both sisters flee and find their way to the King's castle, where fateful trials awaits them - with a black raven in steady pursuit...

This is one of my personal favorite soundtracks from this genre! Very romantic, lyrical and haunting. It's pretty rare, too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

Love it. I wish there were more Eastern Europe music here (Romania, Hungary, Czech, Slovakia, Poland, etc.).
Never heard of this though.

Yes, it's quite a shame that such soundtracks are so rare and overlooked by the people from other countries. Wojciech Kilar is also one of my favorite artists from that region, at least he was one of the more popular composers. May he rest in peace :(

It reminds me of Lubos Fiser's Valerie And Her Week Of Wonders (1970).

I heard from that title, but never watched it actually. Lubos Fiser is a great composer on its own, no question! If it reminds you of him, it's quite an honor for this soundtrack, I guess :)

Link received, i started to listen and sounds very good, much better than the music from nowadays, there's not much good scores from fantasy movies, but a good new composer is Fernando Velazquez. Deserves a rep.
