OK, I did my homework on this.

This album from 2011 is the third release of music from the Italian TV series Fantaghir�, also called The Cave Of The Golden Rose. The previous two were published in 2006.

The saga comprised five episodes produced between 1991 and 1996 (that Korg-M1's sound...) that were dubbed in 13 languages, including one spoken by 17 million inhabitants of Sri-Lanka, and reached cult status.

Fantaghir� is the name of the main character. According to wikipedia,

She is the youngest princess of three. She is outspoken, headstrong and never retreats from battle. In the first film, she is an impulsive troublemaker who likes to provoke her father and sisters

zardoz22, Petros: I'm sorry you lost your Mireilles Mathieus; but Brigitte Nielsen and Ursula Andress did act in the series as The Black Witch (clearly bad) and Xellesia (another witch, just as bad).

So much badness from the females seems to have been well balanced with the gentle synths of Amedeo Minghi and his -kind of- "New Age" sound. At least in this album everything flows quite nice and steadily.
