Hi, just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on what town you would live in...and why you would live there.

I'd also like to live in Besaid. Like you said, it is warm and exotic. And it is a quiet and peaceful place, good for relaxing.... ;)

I'd like to live in Macalania Woods. It's so beautiful there, the serenity, so unperturbed with some sense of adventure. And no tourist too. Yeah, too bad it's fading...

FF7 world and travel.
Particularly round the Cosmo-Gongaga continent.
Plus Midgars pretty interesting.

I'd love to live in:
1) Winhill Town(ff8)- cos I love flowers and that place is just full of those! it's so lovely and tranquil! I'd love to grow old in a place like this.
2) Kilika Island(ffx-2)- Basically, I love how the place looks like. The arrangement of the huts and the wooden paths, blue sea and white sands..plus there's a forest behind it and a temple at the top w/c allows u to have a perfect view of the Island. The people there dress awesome too. They're very colorful.
3) Balamb Garden and Balamb Town(ff8)- I wish there really was a school like this (lmao). If there was, I'd choose to live there instead of my own home lol. The students' uniforms are awesome too! The town, on the other hand is just as breathtaking. It's a seaside location and the place just looks so peaceful.
4) Moonflow(ffx/ffx-2)- I could ride shoopufs and have a really get view of the pyreflies flying above the lake.
5) Cleyra (ff9)- I dont like deserts, but the fact that this city is inside a huge tornado and has beautiful flowers could change that.

Looks like we are two peas in the same pod Aerith. ;)

Wutai FFVII
Lindblum FFIX
Balamb Garden FFVIII
and Luca FFX

None, they're all really tiny, with about 10 inhabitants each.

No fun. =/

Costa Del Sol, hands down

I like this, its clever.

Shumi Village maybe, kicking back with the moombas. Yes, you have to put up with the annoying locals, and yes, it is only three screens big, but its about all i could afford for the time being. Plus, no seems to really work that hard there, it took them an entire tribe pretty much to build one statue when they had a qualified sculptor onsite.. heard theres a vacancy in eldar assistant too.

You could get proper lost and discover yourself there though.. you can even go upstairs to train with the snow lions. Plus, earn extra income as an ultima draw-point guard!

Shumi Village, or Kilika Or maybe Black Mage Village. Too hard too choose.

I would live somewhere peaceful, maybe even isolated. Mideel in ff VII seems like a good place, and Cosmo Canyon. In IX, even though it's kind of boring, I like he town Dali.

Mideel, to hop in the spring every once in a while, and Nibelheim, because it's peaceful, quiet, and I can draw pictures in all of the books in the mansion.

No one's said Treno yet...

I wouldn't live in just one town I would be travel around.
Oh and the world I would travel it would be FF7.
I would try and find Cloud and bug him to train me and then become a Merc.
I think being a Merc would be fun. No time to fall in love cause you're to busy moving around the world.

yes me too I'd love to live in zanarkand, or in the city ( in ff9 ) where there's water everywhere and you have to get past a fall. it's where there's a library and that you can change rocks into another type of rock.....I don't know if you know watta mean?

Of the places I do know I think I'd like to live in Costa del Sol, It's not too far from G.S, good weather and nice beaches...BEACHES I said!

Costa Del Sol closely followed by The Gold Saucer. Balamb Garden also seemed nice but that's not really a town. Fisherman's Horizon wouldn't be too shabby.

Esthar for sure. There looks to be loads to do, it's so cool looking, they've got the best technilogy and all the people seem really friendly.

I've got a new challenger to FFXI for a FF place I'd like to live in - Academia from FFXIII-2 - specifically, the 4XX AF version, as the 400 AF version, despite being almost physically the same, is deceptively a dystopia, being under the thumb of the proto-Fal'cie Adam, who rules it with an iron fist and tends to turn people into Cie'th more often than not). The 4XX version naturally is free of Adam's influence, due to him being erased from history before his construction by Serah's little temper tantrum towards Hope. ;)

The 4XX version (which looks identical to the 400 AF version) is a sprawling high-tech ultra-urbanised utopia that makes Esthar from FFVIII look like a tiny Stone-age village. I've been finding myself just running around the streets admiring the view (and occasionally chucking Mog over the edge! :P).

Heck of an old thread, but I have to chime in anyways. ESTHAR! Of course. I'll have everything I want and need, I'll enjoy the absolute comforts of modern technology, I'll live a long time with great health care and if I want to go fight some dumb monsters in Midgar, i'm sure there's an App for that there. Or holodeck...or PS15 Virtual Reality system.

Cosmo Canyon or Timber. Maybe Esthar if you don't have to wear those weird-ass threads.

Not being a city person I could easily live in Kilika or Besaid.

Forgive me if this sounds like a cop-out, but I think I'd sample life in all towns, on the grounds of simple wanderlust.

Among the towns I'd stay the longest would be post-war Phin, maybe visit Altea to do some repairs, catch an airship to head to Melmond...

Kilika in X-2 seems like a really peaceful beachside town to live in... minus the faction tensions, of course. I love Rabanastre's (XII) populated atmosphere and market bazaars, and the neighbouring Dalmasca Estersand with its accompanying music makes for an image of the beginnings of a grand adventure! The Skycity of Bhujerba (also XII) is a very great place to live in - heck, I remember a 'I want to live in Bhujerba' thread on gamefaqs where someone said he'd live and work there and jump off the city's edge everyday (falling from Bhujerba won't kill you), just to use his paycheck to get back up there.

Malacania forest (X) is so beautiful... But there's hardly a town in there, bah.

Midgar is not the most beautiful city, but I really like it :D
