We (United States) haven't deliberately downed a planeload of people. Or imprisoned a punk band for criticizing the government. Or passed nationwide anti-gay laws under the guise of protecting the public. Or spent billions on Olympics bloated by graft and corruption. So, yeah, the U.S. is better than Russia, not perfect but better. After all, your criticism of the government is protected.

As to downing a plane sure Russia supplied the equipment but akin to buying a gun illegally they most assuredly did not pull the trigger.

Look, i'm American. I love my country dearly. But, I do not pretend we are perfect. We do not really - not really - have a right to talk about human rights violations and stuff. We have had (and still have) our fair share of problems and dark days. What we HAVE, is the luxury of being separated from most of the trouble spots by two very large oceans. So we are a bit more remote, and can look at the other silly countries and feel we can pass judgement. We should take a longer look at ourselves first. At the way we treat our own citizens and poor first. So in that spirit, may I suggest we eithr chill on the Country pissing contest, or open a topic in General Discussion called "The Who's Better Great Country Pissing Contest Thread".....

You should read up on the situation. There is no rule, except identical archives be merged. He should post as a mirror. But since his is (supposedly) a different bit-rate, he is allowed a separate post.
