A magistral soundtrack for a viewable spanish animation. The score is worthy of the Abel Korzeniowski Copernicus Star. It's composed by MARC TILMON BARCELO and MIGUEL CORDEIRO, two spanish new-comers. The booklet inside is so thin, but good sound.

and a little video!

from the seller album MOVIESCORE:

The Little Wizard (Marc Timn Barcel & Miguel Cordeiro)

The score for The Little Wizard represents an excellent collaboration between two up and coming composers and I have no doubt that it serves as great background music for the movie. (Melissa Minners, G-Pop)

Nominated for the Jerry Goldsmith Award at the International Film Music Festival in Cordoba as well as the Spanish Film Music Critics Award, the original orchestral score for the Spanish family animation The Little Wizard is a truly outstanding and impressive achievement by up and coming composers Marc Timn Barcel and Miguel Cordeiro. Any fan of big, classical and thematic film music will love this score which features a striking main theme in waltz meter, many exciting action scherzos and an abundance of engaging melodic writing. Purely orchestral with additional choral colours in places, this score deservers an international audience although the film itself has only been released in Spain so far.

The film premiered at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in September and gets its theatrical release in Spain on November 15. Enjoy one of the best film scores of the year!

Thank you

I understand the term "rare" as a soundtrack that a small amount will be interested in ! Since it's not a big production or blockbuster. I am sure there will be only a thread existing for a long time for this movie.

In the same vein, you can check this soundtrack (Thread 176358) from a animated Canadian movie.

Some time, I prefer these movie to the big production. Because they take the time to create something original and beautiful. Take the last Star Trek, according to normal law of physic. There is a lot of impossible things (http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/inconsistencies/inconsistencies-trekxi.htm). I read on a site, that all Star Wars novels will not be consider for the next movies, only what we have seen in the six movies will be consider. Mara Jade, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Warlord Zsinj from X-Wing novels series doesn't exist anymore except in the heart of fans and readers. Reboot is something, but destroying that was accomplish before seen stupid.

This is what I think about all the movies reboots of the last few years.

rare means that the movie and his score still remains confidentiel. But you're right usually use of "rare" term bring back to an exhaust product. That's not the case of this one.

thanks for this one, Barcelo impressed me in the shadowless tree, he sounds american but with his own personality, unlike Baos or Vidal, who IMO simply sound like american composers (decent ones I might add, both are interesting composers but lacking a bit in personality)
