Thanks for sending me the link. I tried to PM you back about the following, but it is not possible:

I realize that, as for most of the shares of this forum, you got the files somewhere else and shared them here. They are .m4a format with audio encoded with ALAC (not FLAC, though that's not important, as it is lossless too), but the source audio was not a copy of the CD but from MP3 or other lossy audio files. Loading any file in Audacity and selecting Spectrogram in the track dropdown menu shows no data above 20 kHz and a secondary cut at 16, as usual in many lossy encodings.

Unless this was made by someone to edit the source MP3 or AAC sound (let's imagine some kind of improvement), redistributing the lossy audio in a lossless codec doesn't add anything to its quality and contributes to confusion, so it should be avoided; and in any case it would have been good that the editor had added information about those details in the internal tags. At least, if reshared, I'd rename this as "lossy", "reencoding" or something like that to not mislead others, as most of us think of lossless audio when we read FLAC or ALAC.

Nothing special, though; there are many cases like this. And to anyone feeling surprise: be prepared for the worst if you ever start a serious inspection of your collection. ;)
