Wakka may be thick at times, but he's good harted and an overall good character.

(I think, even if Wakka doesn't have the IQ of 120, and even if he is a little too naive, Wakka is a very loveable person. And I would always prefer having a buddy/boyfriend in real life like him, instead of someone who is super bright, not that naive, but acting like a asshole)

Most likely cuz he's Naive. "He follows things too blindly" is what I have heard people say.

i didn't like him as much when he was kind of a fanatic for yevon. hate that kind of people but i lked when he threw it all away when he learned the truth and realized the Al Bhed were not at fault for anything and he dropped all his prejudice right on the spot. i liked him a whole more after that.

I'm curious how you got the idea alot of people hate Wakka, since the majority seem to either like or love him.

Um, alright, whutever. Alot of people, where I'm from, hate Wakka for some reason (idiots) and I was just wondering why.

Well it's cuz he misunderstands them. First of all his teachings say that machina is forbidden. And the Albhed use that stuff all the time. So that alone makes him look at them in a hatful prespective. Then they kidnap Yuna numerous times. That then makes his dislike for albhed grow larger.

So really he was brough up to not like the Albhed. In a way he didn't know any better.

but rikku was allways so nice anyway and wakka only really hated them because chappu fought with a machina weapon.

I like Wakka a lot. Even though he isn't so smart, he's such a nice person. His accent is funny, but I like it. The "ya" doesn't annoy me, I like that too. Wakka would be a good buddy. He may not be smart or good looking, but he has a cute personality.

I think it was kinda anoying him alway saying "ya" but i thought wakka was cool.

And Wakka's vioce in gerneral annoyed me, and the "ya"s all the time, they could have left that out.

I just thought Wakka was a bit of a retard. His hair was retarded, his voice was retarded and his clothes were retarded. They're in a world where a big mother fucking whale floats around and kill cities at a time and he goes around wearing bright yellow and all 'happy happy' and stuff.

I think that "god is dead" is right (post number 10). He is funny at the end. But at the beginning i didn't like him. Also because he was the best in my party. Like in Kingdoms heart when Goofy is better than Sora, I hate him for that.

Wakka wouldn't be Wakka if he didn't say "ya". If you noticed...all the other men in Besaid seem to say it too. Eg the Aurochs and a few of the villagers. Maybe its a Besaid thing? O_o
