Seems to me, that this year's E3 is shaping up to be pretty damn good. Already have a rather large list of games which I've preordered (some in full, others half payment) earlier this year, which have been shown at E3.

Dragon Age Inquisition Inquisitor's Edition (PS4) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfGTtyYeO8E)

Assassin's Creed Unity Notre Dame Edition (PS4) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzCEdSKMkdU)

Batman Arkham Knight (PS4) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnSx3zh3gBs)

Samurai Warriors 4 (PS4) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnETCtJnVG0)

Rise of the Tomb Raider (PS4) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kLAyzmWnk4)

Bloodborne, a sequel to Demon's Souls. That's what I will purchase PS4 for.

FF Type-0 HD is about the only thing I'm interested in - I was going to get a PS4 eventually anyway, but Type-0's international release is extra incentive. :)

I was a little dismayed that the main reasons to buy a next gen console were the reissues of Halos 1-4 and Grim Fandango. Some of these games are 10-15 years old - and I already own all of them! And yet I'm more excited about them than any of the new releases.

So no, I didn't think it was a good E3 at all. No truly 'knocked my socks off' games, hardly any support at all for the 3DS and Vita, yet more unending waves of sequels in place of interesting new IPs, and still no genuine reason to own a XB1 or PS4.

Sorry, but that's just how I feel about it.

That's your choice Vrykolas. As I don't have a Vita or DS/3DS/2DS, lack of support/games for them don't faze me. I will admit, I'm getting tired of all the 'remastered' HD versions of PS3/Xbox 360 titles for the PS4/Xbox One (Most recent one to be 'remastered' is Sleeping Dogs... no info about Sleeping Dogs Triad Wars >.<) though.

Not all of the games shown interested me tbh, apart from the ones I mentioned in my initial post.

Hey, I'm not trying to bring people down or anything (that's why I put off responding to this thread). I didn't sit in front of the E3 press conferences, arms folded, with a scowl on my face, snarling 'Impress me - or else!!!' I genuinely did try to leave my hang ups over excessive overly familiar sequels etc at the door, and just try to find the positives. But there just wasn't anything that really made me sit up and say 'Holy F*** - when's *that* coming out?!'

I mean, I know I'll buy Dragon Age Inquisition, but I never look at previews and such for games I intend to buy (because they always lie to you about what the game will be like and what will be in it etc). And that really didn't leave much else. I'm completely burned out on Dark Souls and Batman games, so Arkham Knight and Bloodborne don't interest me. I don't play online games, so Destiny is out. And whilst I love Steampunk like few other things in this world, I wasn't impressed by what I saw of The Order at all.

The consensus I saw was that Nintendo 'won' E3 (and I agree with that), but that doesn't help me in any way, because they did so without supporting the 3DS. Its too late for the WiiU - it could have the best line up for the next 3 years, and it would still be a dead console IMO. I needed this E3 to convince me to buy a XB1 or PS4, and it utterly failed to do so.

It might sound like I'm hard to please, but if they'd given me Fable 4 (not this legends nonsense), Mirror's Edge 2 (more than just a quick 'it exists - probably), Fallout 4, Advance Wars 5, KOTOR 3 (F**k The Old Republic - give my franchise back!)... any of those and I'd have been as happy as a pig in its own filth! And yes, those are all sequels, but what I really want is to be surprised. New IPs, lots of interesting and promising new IPs. Take some risks, try something new! Anything so I don't have to look at a release schedule filled with yearly update games, or 'new' games which are really just existing IPs with a fresh coat of paint.

And if they *really* wanted to make me happy, they'd have announced a new Robocop game, a new Police Quest game, a new Quest for Glory game and a new ESWAT game. I'd have done their bidding for life for any of those!

Mortal Kombat X stands out for me. I can hardly wait!

Well, Xenoblade Chronicles X for one, even though that was revealed last Summer. I bought my Wii U in anticipation for this game mostly because the Xeno series is one of my all-time favorites. Plus, I knew there would be goodies to come from Nintendo in time.

I'm pretty excited for Hyrule Warriors. If I like that enough, I may check out other Dynasty Warriors games.

The new Zelda looks great and from how they described it, they were going to make the game less linear, which is something Zelda really needs again. Exploring the fields and areas in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask was one of the high points of the series for me.

Smash Bros.? Meh. I'm not really that excited for it, but if my brother gets it, I probably will so I can play with him. I think the series is kind of overrated. Or maybe it's just not for me. Brawl was pretty meh to me as well.

No Man's Sky is the non-Nintendo game that caught my eye the most. That looks like a lot of fun and very immersive. I haven't played a good immersing game in a long time.

Other games that I'm looking into are Fairy Fencer F and Rime. We'll see how they turn out.

Basically everything for the Wii U. Smash Bros., Zelda U, Star Fox/Giant Robot/Guard, Mario Party 10, Mario Maker, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 1&2, Devil's Third, Captain Toad, Shantae, and the Amiibos. My wallet is dead.

I've always been a fan of DragonAge.

im really super excited about the new zelda that's coming up as well. the graphics/animations are so fluid, and it fits exactly my taste. And like Star Magician has mentioned, reducing the linearity and bringing back the original elements of the game sounds something that is worth looking forward to.

One thing I'm not too thrilled about is the art style for Zelda U. It just looks like an upgraded Skyward Sword.

I'd love it if they would try a more comic book style, similar to the character drawings used with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask that would be kinda like these drawings:

That would be pretty awesome.

Mortal Kombat X (Xbox One)
Halo: Master Chief Collection (Xbox One)
Super Smash Bros (Wii U & 3DS)
Star Wars Battlefront (Xbox One) Even though this is a fair way off it was still at E3 this year.

A few others I would like but need to let my wallet recover...

Forgot about the new Battlefront. I will be watching that one as well, but I don't know if I'll have a PS4 or XBox One by the time it comes out, and I still don't have plans on getting a gaming PC yet. Hell, I got my PS3 like 3 months before the PS4 launched. Ironically, my collection of PS3 games is my second largest now. Lol.
