Yes, there has been a beautiful (seriously, beautiful!) remaster project done with the Metroid Prime 1, 2, and 3 soundtracks, but I have yet to see an unabridged, direct-conversion gamerip of the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy series online. Thus, I present this one that I have done. All ripping was done by me; naming was done partially on my own, and partially with the help of various online sources. The "ripping" for every single file was a direct conversion, not an in-line rip. Absolutely no resampling, normalization, or amplification was done (this would have been both unnecessary and harmful to the integrity of the files).

READ: Before complaining that there are unnecessary "duplicates" or the like, please look up the definition of the word "unabridged".

This has been split into five "discs". All songs should be properly tagged. (If not, please let me know!)

For DOWNLOADS, go here and double-click the appropriate folder: https://mega.co.nz/#F!aNJRWCpB!TCW48ujyAQFnjggPKPx7wQ

The formats available are FLAC, AAC (i.e. same file format as iTunes store songs), and mp3 (VBR mode). (FLAC being lossless, and AAC and mp3 both being very high quality, even if lossy.)

Thanks to hcs and soneek (on hcs64.com) for extra help in decoding a particular couple of files from the Trilogy disc!

Now that such a gamerip (an unabridged one, that is) of the Trilogy has been posted online and presented, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Enjoy, everyone :)

EDIT (June 6 2014, 16:54 PST): The first "disc" (titles, menus, etc.) has been updated with a fixed version of the Metroid Prime 1 menu theme. In all the game versions, there is just this one sample in the left channel that is WAYYY off (causing a brief but unpleasant "click"), so I corrected it. I have left in the uncorrected version as a 17th track, for archival purposes. (Remember: this gamerip collection is unabridged.) I promise that this correction accurately reflects the intended waveform, so not to worry :)

Some impressive work you did there. It's truly a complete aka unabridged collection, as there are a few tracks I didn't know about myself - Who would've thought that Japan got a slightly-different version of the MP2 Title Theme? (The only difference I could detect was between 2:22 and 2:27, but it's there).

Personally I prefer a gamerip/conversion of the music files as opposed to line-in rips as I can't stand the static in the background. So even though I appreciate Mr.Assett2's efforts, this is gonna be my collection of choice. Well-done dy32light!

EDIT: Oh no! I detected an ugly "click" sound in "1-03 MP1 File Select" at 0:34 and 1:16. I'm pretty sure the original didn't have this error. Could you please look into it?

Thank you very much for your effort! This is a great collection, I was hoping someone would do this some day. I'll download it right away!

Out of curiosity, though, what is the "Gallery" music? Where did it come from?

This was, in fact, present with every official game (GC and Japan Wii) version. *sobs* The only version that doesn't have that click sound is the version on the official soundtrack CD. I suppose I could use Audacity to try to fix that "click" and post a fixed version?

The "Gallery" music is the music that is unlockable in the "soundtrack gallery" on the Trilogy version. (It's in the "Extras" in the Trilogy menu.) In the case of the Prime 3: Corruption songs, they should be identical to the ones present in the original "gallery" present on the Corruption disc.

Are they different from the tracks that appear IN the game?

Well, none of them are bit-by-bit (i.e. sample-by-sample) identical. Moreover, there are a couple of tracks that are differently mixed in production than the in-game versions, such as the Meta Ridley battle theme and the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes theme. So yes, they are in fact different, but with differing levels of variation.
