Who is the greatest Heroine out of al lthe FFs? You choose!

Personally, I like Rinoa :D

I guess if I had to choose from any on your list, I'd choose Yuna, or maybe Garnet. Thing is, though, I don't tend to gravitate towards being a fan of the major female leads in any of the FF games. As proof, my favorite female characters from VI-X:

Final Fantasy VI - Relm
Final Fantasy VII - Yuffie
Final Fantasy VIII - Selphie
Final Fantasy IX - Eiko
Final Fantasy X / X-2 - Rikku

I cannot speak for the earlier FF's, but none of the females in the versions I have played impressed me, apart from Rinoa.

yuna out of all of those because she knew what she was getting herself into all of her life--she was going to sacrifice herself for everyone. in other stories, that is a maybe that could happen. in x, it was a sure thing. then she shows even more of her strength when she goes against the teachings that have been accepted for so many years and all of that tradition, the same tradition that her father died for.

None of them. Rosa from Final Fantasy IV. She saves Cecil's soul, turning him from the Darkness to the Light and saving the entire world in the process. A very powerful countermeasure to the hero who looked lost until she opened the way for him.

At least that's how I interpreted it.

Celes. I love FF6 and in any polls like this its always the representitive from FF6 that gets my vote. I mean c'mon. runic was THE most useful skill in the game IMO. Somehow a flare isnt so painful with runic

I'd say Celes is my favorite... she goes from being one of the Empire's generals to trying to do the right thing... but even the resistance doesn't trust her at first.

Relating to her doesnt necessarily mean that I also am like her completely. Duh. I can relate to her because she's a cheerful person, tries to overcome her weaknesses and she has a strong bond with her pet angelo.And she's a heroine simply because she a main female ff character. And u dont have to perform heroic deeds for u to be considered a heroine. Every person is a hero/heroine in his/her own way. WHat a lame statement u just said, leeloo. Really lame.

I go with Tifa because she is one of the few that has saved the main character of the game and looked good doing it. (See FFVII ending for reference.)

(Back to the topic, Yeah, Rinoa's the best ff heroine for me because though she aint as physically and emotionally strong as the others, there are still some characteristics of her w/c i find unique and exceptional.) Enough said.

LEELOO 5 isn't a Rinoa hater, but just described her weakness I think.

Every character has there ups and downs.

I guess my good heroic description for Rinoa is her joining a rebiollian faction(Timber Forest Owls), to get away from her neglectful father, but she is pitching in to rebell against Galbadia when they were taken over by the sorceress. I guess pitching in is just enough ;).

I remember in the past not being real descriptive on why I think Tifa is a good heroine. I guess back then I was trying to keep it simple. Sometimes it's good to though ;).

Anyway, to finally put a stop to this senseless argument. WHat makes Rinoa a heroine for me is her being a rebelling daughter. She opposed her father's beliefs and asked the aid of headmaster cid to help fight his father's ways. Next, even though she was afraid, she accepted the fact that she too, is to become a sorceress, meaning she could one day kill her friends, including the one she loves. She tried to kill President Deling (though they resorted to killing a fake one) along with squall and the others. For an amateur, and a young woman who isnt highly skilled in battle, Rinoa is one tough lady. The people/person (how many they may be) she's against with are no ordinary people. They are experienced and well-guarded. But since Rinoa still did her best to make a leap and fight these people, it is considered a brave act, and that very much makes her a heroine. She fights for her principles..for what she believes in. She may not have sacrificed her life unlike Aeris and Yuna (though she didnt actually die), but that doesnt change the fact that she too is a heroine. I hope i've made my stand clear. Outtie.

I understand where the both of you come from. When LEELOO started, she was just basically asking what made Rinoa heroic and it might've came out mean, but she was just kidding putting it that way. We can't tell when they don't always tell us because it's just typing and words on a screen. But I guess you sorta gotta feel it and takes time, and I know it can be hard.

Well, since you gave your explanation, maybee I should give my explanation on why I think Tifa is so heoric since I didn't in my last post.

Tifa. She may not have Cetra powers like Aerith and may not have died for the planet, but she joined Avalanche. She joined Avalanche without clinging to Cloud too because this was before she met up with him again. Don't worry Huntress Krystle, I'm not refering to Rinoa(I would never, I love Rinoa too much ;)). I'm refering to Anti-Tifa people whom claim Tifa joined Avalanche to cling to Cloud. That's not true if she didn't meet up with him again yet. Well anyway, Avalanche the rebelion faction that goes against the evil planet polluting Shinra Inc. If Tifa joins Avalanche, she's pitching in to save the planet from dieing! She was strong! She didn't need Cloud to get her to join! Alot of Anti Tifa people claim that she made Cloud join Avalanche, but that's not necissarily true either. Cloud made that choice on his own free will later so he can go after Sephiroth because that's what he always wanted to do. Tifa is strong, optimistic, assertive, and smart, and she can whoop anybody with her fists of fury and her martial arts moves!

WOW this is a tough one. Rinoa was my favorite but Tifa and Aeris were really cool too. But i have one question why isnt Lenna or Faris from V on this pole?

Because hardly anyone likes Final Fantasy V and if there's any of the classic FF games that gets dissed more than any other, it's V.

Topic? I thought Faris was a pretty cool character. Although I'm not sure how she managed to keep everyone thinking she was a guy. I also connected with Kara, who could talk with chocobos.

*SPOILER* well, besides the fact that Terra is cool for being the daughter of an Esper, she was a soldier for the empire who was controlled and tries to change her ways and tries to stop Kefka and his army from destroying her home world and tries to stop Kefka from doing what he does best... being evil... plus she uses her last bit of strength as an Esper to help the group escape the N-Zone, I think she deserves the title.

i said yuna because she kicked ass with her summons and healing powers she's awesome

Aeris died to give Cloud and his buddies a fighting chance against the greatest villain in all of FF... I didn't like her that much but what she did was honorable.

It was a tough decision to just pick one, but I ended up picking Aeris. She sacrificed herself for their cause.
Yuna probably comes in a close second, being that she was willing to sacrifice herself.

Tifa all the way. Not only is she the strongest and most beautiful FF girl of all time, she can fight and stand by the man she loves always. Sure, she may not have sacrificed herself for a planet, but how she stood by her loved one, was equally honorable. She would die for him as well.
