Mind I was completely thrown that Volume 3 (Voyage to the Bottom of the See) is only 99mb, it seems positively tiny for an album in FLAC :)

Like, are they expecting you to get both products (sort of like how the star wars dvd's have deleted scenes that the blu rays don't and vic versa keeping each from becoming obsolete)?

The new LLL LIS 50th Anniversary box set certainly seems to be very complete making [imho] the LIS CD's from the FWOIA obsolete. Also obsolete [imho] is the LLL LIS 40th Anniversary CD. Certainly the edits on the older CD's are different from the big set due to time constraints but I haven't detected anything still on the older CD's that is not found on the big LLL set. The exception is the sound effects disc on the FWOIA box. "Danger, Will Robinson", etc ..., are not on the LLL big set.

You still need the FWOIA to get The Time Tunnel, Land Of The Giants and Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea (it might prove cheaper to get the box than to buy them individually - or just get them here while you can [wink-wink]). Also the LLL & FSM soundtrack versions of VTTBOTS are the original Movie score - not the TV series.

"Land of the Giants" will be released again next week by LaLaLand as a 4-disc 50th anniversary special collection (limited edition of 1000 units). Here is your chance to get a first impression of that box - the two pilot scores released on the old album by Johnny Williams and Alexander Courage (the unused one) will also be part of the new release, with a few more tracks which weren't part of the old release due to available space on a single CD.

I also recommend the other albums (Lost in Space, Time Tunnel and Voyage of the Bottom of the Sea), especially the many scores from Johnny Williams, who was able to show his composing expertise years before his movie masterpieces of later years, when he became the one and only JOHN Williams!
