well i got 9 first, i was into spyro and crash bandicoot back then (i was little ^_^) i thought, 'that's such a stupid game, looks miles too hard anyway...' so it sat and gathered dust untill about 1 year after i got it, i was bored and my mum suggested i played it. i gave it ago, the opening credits came up, and i saw the FMV and i said, 'wow! this is AMAZING!!' and i played the game, i finished it around 6 months of playing, then i found out there were more! i thought, 'right! i want 8 next!' and i got 8, again i was amazed! and then got 7, i was dissapointed, but even though i didn't like the game that much, i cried when aeris died, soooo sad! :'(

but i hated the ff series when i first came across it, thought it was not worth bothering about. i'm glad i changed my mind! or i would never have seen FFX or FFX-2 (which is kinda freaky when you think about it) i wouldn't even be here!

how did you discover the FF series?

if you played the later games befor ffVII then you probably would be a bit dissapointed.

anyway i started with ffVII, i played a couple of the others befor VII just ffVII is the first i can remember playing. and it was my brother that got me started with VII. he used to sit around for hours playing it. i think it was the part when cloud came crashing through the train doors when i thought im haveing some of that

Nintendo Power introduced me to FFIV, way back when it was more popularly known as FFII.

Well when I was 11, I saw Final Fantasy VII on the shelf of our local game shop. I asked/begged my dad to get it for me, and he did. That is where it all began.

My friend told me to get Kingdom Hearts. Then on my own, I got FFX, and now I have FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX and FFX-2.

Although, I've yet to play 8 or 9. XD

Knowing I'm otaku, I first hear of FFVII seeing the character design is anime. So I thought, 'I love the animation! I gotta play this game!'. When it comes out, I have alittle difficulty playing it because it's my very first RPG.

Four years later, I get my copy of FFVII I got for Christmas in '97 because my boyfriend get's it for his 17th birthday(2001), then I start playing it(learning how RPG's work from my boyfriend)then I really have fun with it!!

Then I tried FFVIII, and FFIX, and so on...... I love FF and all RPGs!

Yeah, the way FF is drawen like anime, and my boyfriend helping me alittle because he's such a sweet guy! Those two things.

I bought FF8 when it came out platinum... I have no idea why because before I used to hate anything with a fantasy theme or involving magic... but when I first got it it was well complicated but I persevered and was obsessed with it for months, it was good cos my friend also bought it around the same time as me and we would compare tactics and other sad stuff :D

I read a review of 7 - standard story really. I bought it, played it, liked it, played some more FF's. The end

I played 'Story of Thor' for the MegaDrive, got a taste for RPGs. Then I got a PSX. It just sort of went from there.

i used to watch my cousing play ff7 and he said to me why not try it. before, i thought rpgs are boring but after playing ff7, the first ff game i played (this was years ago), that perception changed. that's when i got hooked into playing the ff series. wasnt fortunate enough to play the classics tho >_>

In the fourth grade, a friend of mine rented Final Fantasy for NES from the local video store and brought the instruction booklet to class and kept talking about how cool and fun it was. We all became interested in it, and took turns renting it from the video store. After a while, our interest kind of dwindled and it wasn't until I bought a copy of Final Fantasy IV (Final Fantasy II at the time.) that I became re-interested in Final Fantasy.

I remember thinking Final Fantasy was pretty shitty, until my friend came over and brought over Final Fantasy III(jp)for the NES and I was hooked, I had to get it and I've been playing Final Fantasy games ever since(this was in like 1989, I am from Korea mind you, where the one Final Fantasy that's not in America is).
